General: 'F2P' Yields Big Bucks to Genre Winners

According to a new study published by NewZoo, the overall free to play market spending by worldwide games is up significantly over 2010. The study indicates that Americans spending money on F2P titles is up 24% to a total of $1.2 billion.

Maverick Studios has announced its flagship title currently in development. Called "Unveiled: The Supernaturual", the game is focused on mythology and occult in the modern world. Included races are Werewolf, Vampire, Hunter and Witch.

Star Supremacy: Ship Design Contest Announced

Barbily Games has announced a new ship design contest for its inaugural title, Star Supremacy. Players have from now through November 30th to create their "dream ships" for submission. The player base will vote on its favorite for ultimate inclusion in the game.

Nadirim: New Screens & Trailer Released

Twisted Tribe and the Nadirim team have released a new cinematic trailer featuring the lore behind the browser MMO based on the Arabian Nights stories. The team has also released a dozen new (and lovely!) screenshots showing the environments in Nadirim. Nadirim was released into the retail market on November 7th.

KingsIsle has announced that Wizard101 will be published in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau in 2012. Earlier this past summer, KingsIsle also announced that it had inked a publishing deal to bring the family-friendly title to Mainland China.
