EVE Online - CCP Announces Clone States - AKA F2P - Coming in November

CCP Games is opening up the universe to past, present and future EVE Online players by implementing "clone states", a free-to-play version of the game. The new revenue model will allow players to take part for free forever and will arrive as part of the November 2016 update. This big news comes after thirteen years of EVE Online.

The Elder Scrolls Online is going back to its roots. Before the game was Buy to Play, it was Pay to Play and all the major updates were free. With update 12, everything will be completely free. While this update does not include any new zones or storylines, it does change the core aspect of the game as a whole. It is a new way to play ESO, especially if you are a new or returning player to Tamriel.

Riders of Icarus - New PvE Content the Focus of Latest Developer Blog

The Riders of Icarus site has been updated with a new developer blog that lays out some of the forthcoming PvE content coming to the game in the coming days and weeks. Among other things, players at level 35 can access Lair of Ienos to complete a daily quest to grab hold of his Familiar Control Stone. One of two elite creatures will appear with players able to attempt taming them.

SMITE - Community Raises Money for Louisiana Flood Relief

The SMITE community is reaching out in tangible ways to the victims of recent and catastrophic floods in Louisiana. SMITE players raised over $36,000 for flood relief efforts, bringing the total revenue generated for charity to $700,000 over the years.

Elder Scrolls Legends eSports Event at PAX

The Firefall site has suddenly gone dark, perhaps indicating that the game itself has shut down. Players on Reddit are claiming that they game is still functioning with a few players in it. While perhaps not yet completely gone, the site's demise does not bode well for the longevity of the game.

SamuTale - Milestone Achieved - Ready for Closed Alpha Testing

Otherland - Open Beta for F2P Version Begins

Gamigo has announced that Otherland is going free to play and to get players ready for the launch, open beta has officially kicked off in the world based on Tad Williams' iconic stories. The game has undergone a number of improvements and devs have added functionality to the game over the last several weeks, most notably in performance.
