Mumbai: HDFC Bank managing director Aditya Puri said his vision for the successor at the most successful lender in the country is aligned with that of HDFC group companies' elder statesman Deepak Parekh, squelching speculation that they had differences over the succession process."In all fairness, Deepak and I have no differences," Aditya Puri told ET in an interview. "We all want the best person in the organisation. He hasn't even discussed the subject with me… I don't know for how many months. HDFC has a nominee in the search committee. He is a large shareholder. He also wants what is best for the organisation. There is no difference between the board and anybody. We are all looking at the best interests of the bank."Industry is keenly watching the succession at HDFC Bank as Puri, hired by Parekh from Citibank to start HDFC Bank in 1994, steps down in October after creating a behemoth with a market value of Rs 6.5 lakh crore. There's intense speculation on whether his successor would be an internal or an external candidate.Looking for a Set of AttributesBut Puri said that the search committee has engaged headhunting firm Egon Zehnder to look at not only the internal candidates but even an external one if there is exceptional talent."The board gave a set of attributes to them that we would be looking for. We have told them the bank has strong internal candidates, but you can look for exceptional external candidates as well," said Puri without revealing his preference.When asked about the general management philosophy of going with an internal candidate in institutions that are not facing major challenges, Puri said the board acknowledged the contributions of insiders."I believe that this theory (of favouring insiders) has a lot of merit," said Puri. "Obviously, we know whoever is within the organisation. If a lot of them have created a $100 billion franchise they must be competent. The board also acknowledges that we have very strong internal candidates. But, there were some people who felt that we should also look at external candidates so that we won't miss out on anyone.'' Puri said he did not have a veto on the successor, but the board would give weight to his recommendations."I don't have a veto, but I would assume that what I say will have a lot of weight,'' he said.Executive directors Bhavesh Zaveri, Sashidhar Jagdishan and Kaizad Bharucha are the internal candidates. As regards to external candidates, there had been speculation that Piyush Gupta of DBS and Ajay Banga of Mastercard were being considered for the top post at HDFC Bank.CONFLICT OF INTEREST WITH HDB FINResponding to a question on possible conflict of interest between HDFC Bank and its NBFC subsidiary HDB Financial, Puri said the two have no overlap."There is no overlap between the financial services company and HDFC Bank," he said. "HDB takes slightly higher credit risk, they charge higher interest rates, they are compensated by lower cost structure. In the last 13 years no case has come to me that the two of them are fighting."When asked if he would continue as chairman of HDB Financial after retirement from HDFC Bank in October, Puri said he and his successor would jointly decide on the matter.The bank is poised to grow continuing its past success as its leadership team has put in place the relevant technology and created distribution capacity to take advantage of an economy where demand is abundant while supply is lagging, said Puri.The government rolling out the red carpet for sovereign wealth funds in building infrastructure and the Reserve Bank of India easing the liquidity position could revive economic growth above 5%, although investment may have to wait given the low capacity utilisation.Puri, who had delivered earnings growth of 15% or so even during the worst of the slowdowns, said that the government had done its best to kickstart the recovery within the available fiscal space."Everyone recognises that there is a slowdown in the economy, but we see a way out of it," said Puri. "The government has also focussed on agriculture with 14% higher expenditure. They are focussing on improving productivity with better roads, infrastructure, electricity etc. A little improved agri demand and change in interest rates, and very likely GDP will come above 5%."But the key to many of these measures succeeding would depend on the divestment programme. "I just hope that the government focusses and ensures that divestment happens on time," he said.
Mumbai: Vodafone Idea has called on the government to allow it to pay adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues over 15 years. The telecom company has also asked for a tax refund, cuts in licence fees and spectrum usage charges (SUC) and the establishment of a floor for tariffs among measures to help remain viable.In a letter to the Department of Telecommunications, the finance ministry and Niti Ayog, the telco, which has over 300 million subscribers, said it needs help from the government to stay in business. The letter was sent a day ahead of a meeting of Digital Communications Commission (DCC) – the highest decision-making body of DoT – which may discuss some steps on providing relief to stressed telcos such as Vodafone Idea.In its letter, the operator sought a goods and services tax (GST) refund of Rs 8,000 crore, which can be adjusted against its AGR dues, and the option of paying the remaining amount in a staggered manner — over 15 years — after an initial moratorium of three years. 74325473 The telco has to pay statutory dues of about Rs 57,000 crore, as per DoT's estimates, but has so far paid only Rs 3,500 crore. Its own estimates peg dues at around Rs 23,000 crore, of which Rs 7,000 crore is the principal amount. Experts don't expect the cash-strapped telco to cough up even the lower amount.The operator, formed after a merger of Vodafone India and Idea Cellular, has warned of shutting shop unless it gets some relief on its AGR dues.Vodafone Idea's letter also calls for a reduction in licence fees and SUC. Telcos annually pay 8% of AGR as licence fees; Vodafone Idea wants it reduced to 3%. The industry has been long calling for a reduction in SUC as well, which is paid at 3-5% of AGR. The telco wants it brought down to 1%.ET has reported that the government is considering deferring licence fee and SUC payments for a substantial period to help free up cash flows at telcos, besides setting up a stress fund to offer loans on easy terms. The operator also highlighted to the government that a floor for tariffs will help double the sector's revenue. Vodafone Idea didn't respond to ET's emailed queries.
Companies are rushing to pay dividends to shareholders before the new budget proposal, which makes dividend income taxable up to 43 per cent in the hands of the recipient, takes effect from April.So far, 204 companies have announced dividends since February 1, compared with 90 during the similar period in 2019 and 98 in 2018. The boards of 32 more companies are meeting in the next three days to decide on the dividend.The Bajaj Auto board on February 21 declared an interim dividend of 1,200 per cent or Rs 120 per share. The company in 2019 and 2018 had declared a dividend in the month of May.Shree Cement on February 14 announced an interim dividend of 1,100 per cent compared to 250 per cent interim dividend announced in January 2019 or 200 per cent in January 2018. Symphony has declared a special dividend of 900 per cent on February 7. Divis Laboratories has approved a dividend of 800 per cent on February 12. The company in the past three years announced dividend in the month of May.At present, shareholders in the country need not pay any tax on income from dividends from domestic companies for up to Rs 10 lakh while they are taxed 10 per cent for dividend income beyond Rs 10 lakh. After the abolition of dividend distribution tax (DDT), the recipient of dividend will have to pay according to their respective tax slabs, which are as high as 43 per cent.Most promoter owners hold equity individually or in trusts, and are in the upper tax bracket. So, they will now have to pay 43 per cent tax on dividend from April 1. "Shareholders of companies with high promoter holding can expect a flurry of dividend announcements before March 31," said Vijay Bhushan, president, Association of National Exchanges of Members of India (ANMI).Balkrishna Industries has announced an interim dividend of 800 per cent on February 14, compared to 100 per cent dividend declared in February 2019 and 75 per cent in February 2018. 74327748 A similar rush to pay interim dividend was witnessed in 2002, when the then finance minister Yashwant Sinha had proposed to make dividends taxable in the hands of the shareholders. NEW DELHI: India's economy is likely to have grown at the same pace as in the third quarter at 4.5%, most independent economists said, though others expect growth to be a tad faster, based on a slight pickup in agriculture and government spending."Our composite leading indicator (index of 33 major leading indicators) suggests that gross domestic product growth to remain flat at 4.5% as in Q3 of FY20," said Soumya Kanti Ghosh, group chief economic adviser, State Bank of India.India's economic growth slipped to a 26-quarter low of 4.5% in July-September from 5% in the first quarter.The statistics office lowered the FY19 GDP growth rate to 6.1% from the provisional estimate of 6.8% and has forecast 5% growth in FY20, its slowest pace in 11 years. The Economic Survey 2020 sees a recovery to 6-6.5% in FY21. "We were earlier anticipating a downward revision in FY20 growth rate from 5% to 4.6%," Ghosh said.This downward revision, as per Ghosh, will have statistical benefits as it could push up FY20 GDP to 4.7%. "There is not much improvement. We have retained our full year GDP target at 4.7%," said Upasna Bhardwaj, economist at Kotak Mahindra Bank.Manufacturing activity is likely to remain pressured and unlikely to better the 6.4% growth in the corresponding period the year ago. Falling growth seen in sales of commercial vehicles, railway freight traffic and cargo handled by civil aviation has also contributed to the projection being significantly lower. "There is no joy in the GDP story. Consumption could be slightly better because of PM-KISAN but there is no systematic improvement anywhere," said IDFC First Bank chief economist Indranil Pan. 74327430 The Reserve Bank of India has cut policy rates by 135 bps since February, 2019, and the government reduced corporate rate tax to 22% in order to attract investment and boost growth.Despite these steps, indicators available till the quarter ended December, 2019, are not particularly robust, said Madan Sabnavis, chief economist at CARE Ratings."The sharp decline in October and November seems to have been reversed in December," said Devendra Kumar Pant, chief economist at India Ratings.
Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sought permission from the dedicated bankruptcy court to intervene in the insolvency resolution pleas against Sterling group companies Sterling International Enterprises and Sterling SEZ & Infrastructure.ED on Wednesday sought more time from the Mumbai bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to file its response challenging the Sterling promoters' move to pay the lenders to the two group companies to withdraw the insolvency resolution plea and take back control of the firms.A division bench of tribunal, presided over by judicial member Bhaskara Pantula Moha and technical member Shyam Babu Gautam, allowed ED two weeks' time to file its response in the matter, and adjourned the matter to March 23.Sterling group is accused of defaulting on and diverting loans of about Rs 15,000 crore, and central agencies ED, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the income-tax department are looking into the dealings of its promoters Chetan and Nitin Sandesara.The Sandesaras are currently absconding and are believed to be in Africa."Our primary contention is that as per the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) order in the Sterling Biotech (case), which had clarified that the promoters of the company can't pay from the proceed of crime and the proceedings against the promoters will continue under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA)," Nitesh Rana, an advocate representing ED, told NCLT on Wednesday.The appellate tribunal had in August last year allowed the promoters to take control of Sterling Biotech after making full payment to the lenders, setting aside an NCLT order to liquidate the company.The Sandesaras are now looking to do the same with Sterling International and Sterling SEZ.More than 90% of lenders to the biotech firm had approved the settlement offer of around ?3,945 crore against total dues of over ?8,100 crore and withdrawal of the insolvency case under Section 12 (A) of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC).However, in its order, the appellate tribunal observed, "In so far asset of the corporate debtor (Sterling Biotech) is concerned, if it (the resolution offer) is based on the proceeds of the crime, it is always open to the Enforcement Directorate to seize the assets of the corporate debtor and act in accordance with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA)."In June last year, ED had attached properties of over Rs 9,700 crore owned by the Sandesaras.
MUMBAI: Offers from SSG and Cerberus have been selected for a final vote after lenders of Altico met on Monday and shortlisted the two as the key contenders to take over the troubled real estate financier, said people directly involved in the process.SSG's final offer after multiple revisions is an upfront cash payment of Rs 2,700 crore and a one year employment guarantee for the management team.Cerberus has offered Rs 2,600 crore in immediate cash payments and Rs 450 crore in security receipts, a kind of debt instrument backed by financial assets, to be paid when able.Lenders vote on the proposals on March 12. SBI Capital, which is managing sale process along with EY, did not immediately reply to ET's queries. Cerberus and SSG declined to comment."The plan by the incumbent management team has not found favour, though it will also be voted on," said a person with direct knowledge of the matter.SSG made a second proposal — Rs 2,150 crore upfront payment plus Rs 1,500-1,750 crore of security receipts. It also suggested Altico's bad loans be moved to an asset reconstruction company chosen by the lenders. But this won't be taken up for voting.Lenders analysed the revised offers on Monday in the presence of advisors such as SBI Capital, which also made a presentation on the competing bids followed by detailed pitches by each of the three bidders. ET reported on February 24 that the credit meeting will finalise the shortlist. The lenders were keen on bids that offered to run the company instead of shutting it down over a period of time."Even people working in the company have conveyed their intention to continue working for the real estate financier as they exuded confidence to rebuild it," said an executive involved in the process.The Clearwater-backed Altico management had suggested 100% repayment of the principal amount with outstanding interest being paid back at 10% over 5.75 years. But this hinged on Clearwater taking control of Altico as part of the resolution process. In this formula, existing shareholders would agree to pay Rs 630 crore by March 2021, which will be counted as year one. In years two and five, the management will make fresh equity infusions to keep the business viable, ET had reported.74328049 Alternatively, the shareholders suggested that some lenders could get repaid before 5.75 years but only if they agreed to a 30% haircut. What crucial levels are you watching out for Nifty Bank? The morning started off flat but now we are starting to see a further weakness set.The market does not look good. It has been on a weak footing. The foundation of what is happening right now was laid six months back. Many of the technical charts that we follow have been negative for a while now. The technical indicators have not been in sync with the price action but because the Nifty had such a great run on account of a handful of stocks, we never questioned the technical indicators till Nifty hit 12,300-12,400 levels.In light of the developments of the past week, it does seem that this is not a plain vanilla correction. It is a short term downtrend wherein the markets will continue to make a series of lower tops and lower bottoms and this can continue for many weeks and maybe even many months.The market participants are used to seeing indices correct or turn around to go back to making new highs. This might not happen right now because when you look at the momentum on the way down, and the volumes, some of the larger stocks are clocking in bad days. And this is an indication that there is a big shift happening.The markets are also going through collateral damage given what is happening around the world. This is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. The first pointer to work with is the budget day low of around 11,620. You could see some stopover demand there but we believe that eventually this market is headed towards that zone of 11,300 to 11,350 and maybe even to 11,100 and this has been our working view for the last one month. All rallies will find a lot of resistance, so the upside is clearly capped to the 11,900 area. And because there are too many sectors participating on the way down, Bank Nifty which was an outperformer in the last couple of days is only now sitting up for the largest decline. We would not be surprised if Bank Nifty loses about 10 per cent from these levels.What about capital goods and autos? We have seen quite a bearish trend building up in autos particularly. Do you see it worsening?I would be more bearish on capital goods, the reason being in the good times when Nifty got close to levels of 12,400 level, the stocks from this sector did not participate. And now as the markets are going through a difficult phase, capital goods is clearly one of the biggest underperformers. Larsen & Toubro is a great example because it did absolutely nothing in the last three months. Many of the top capital good stocks are setting up for a much bigger breakdown that could lead to 10 per cent to 15 per cent downside for the index and for most of the stocks.Autos, well they had a lovely run. They moved up 30 per cent from the lows of last August, September but the manner in which some of them have just come off in the last 10 days that does not look heartening at all. In this environment, the weak is getting weaker, and the cheap is getting cheaper and this trend will continue on for the next many weeks. We will have to really review in the last week of March but at least for the next four to six weeks, capital goods, FMCG, auto, metals, banking are a complete avoid and the only two spaces that we like are IT and healthcare. We believe one can hide is chemicals and insurance too. So, these four pockets will outperform but everything else in the market looks quite bleak.What is your outlook specifically on the Nifty Bank in terms of important levels? Do you believe there is more correction in sight and what is the view on individual private sector bank stock as well as PSU banks?In the banking space, for the last year, year and a half just one stock – HDFC Bank acted like Pied Piper. So, when this stock did well, the Bank Nifty did well and because the Bank Nifty did well it helped Nifty.Some of these top-performing stocks of the last 18 months may witness some downside and if that were to happen, then the Bank Nifty will take a hit. We are working with an immediate target of about 29,700 which was around the budget day low, and once that gets violated we would not be surprised if Bank Nifty goes down to 28,900 and eventually 28,000.A possible 2,000 point fall on the Bank Nifty is likely and some of the top names in the space, apart from ICICI Bank which has broken out of a 10-year consolidation, look weak.PSU banking is in terrible shape; most stocks are making 52-week lows and there are no signs of bottoming out. We have recommended our subscribers to stay away from this space because you really do not know where this is going to end in terms of its downtrend.
MUMBAI: India is pushing for a major change at Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on methodology at determining taxability in every jurisdiction hoping to tap a larger share of tax from multinationals such as Google, Facebook, Amazon and Netflix.OECD recently said that income tax collections of major digital companies could go up by around $100 billion if new tax regulations are formed and adopted by all countries.With a hope of getting larger chunk of $100 billion in global taxes to be paid by digital companies, India is pushing that number of users should determine taxes payable by digital majors in a country. The OECD under its Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) initiative has come up with a number — $ 100 billion — in additional taxes digital majors need to pay globally."There are companies generating billions of dollars in revenue from India but manage to pay abysmal amount in taxes. All we want is that these companies cough up what's only India's fair share," said an official aware of the development. He added that the government has been pushing for this and would be submitting its proposals to the OECD soon.OECD is set to weigh in if a country has a right to tax the company based on intellectual property registered in the country or based on the number of users. India is strongly pushing for the latter as that could mean the global majors may have to pay more tax, said people in the know. Additionally, OECD is also asking these companies to pay at least 12.5% tax in each country-- another win for India; as most companies merely pay about 6% (equalisation levy) on part of their revenues.Companies such as Google, Facebook and Amazon have created structures whereby they end up paying no taxes in India as profits are swiftly moved to tax havens such as Ireland and Cayman Islands through creative holding structures."As per the Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 framework of the OECD, several MNCs could witness an increase in their Indian tax liability because they will start paying taxes in countries like India which are market economies even if the MNCs don't have a large local presence in India. It is expected that developing countries will benefit more than the advanced countries. Pillar 2 will reduce the tax rate differential between various countries and will therefore discourage MNCs to shift profits to low tax countries. This could benefit countries like India which are impacted by such shifting of profits," said Rajesh H Gandhi, partner, Deloitte India.Pillar 1 and 2 approaches under the OECD mainly refer to the tax structuring undertaken by multinationals to create investment companies in tax havens to escape taxes.Tax experts say that India has already prepared its ground work for accepting the OECD's guidelines by introducing the basic framework on "significant economic presence" or digital permanent establishment (PE) in 2018. The government in this year's budget said that it's waiting for the OECD guidelines before introducing domestic regulations.Industry experts said that India could see a huge chunk of the increase in taxes from next financial year if the OECD guidelines are accepted by 130 member countries.

ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಕಾಫಿ ಕುಡಿದರೆ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಆ ದಿನ ಶುರುವಾಗುವುದು. ಕಾಫಿ ಕುಡಿಯದಿದ್ದರೆ ಯಾವ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಕೆಲವರಿಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಘಂ ಎಂದು ಕಾಫಿ ಪರಿಮಳ ಮೂಗಿಗೆ ಅಡರಿದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಲೋಟ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿತು ಎಂಬುದೇ ತಿಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಕಾಫಿಗೆ ಹಾಲು ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕೆಲವರು ಕುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು ಬ್ಲಾಕ್ ಕಾಫಿ ಕುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಈ ಬ್ಲಾಕ್ ಕಾಫಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವುದರಿಂದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಲಾಭವಿದೆ ಅದೇನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯೋಣ.

ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ: ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕಪ್ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ಒಂದು ಟೀ ಸ್ಪೂನ್ ತಣ್ಣಗಿನ ನೀರಿಗೆ ಕಾಫಿ ಪುಡಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಿಕ್ಸ್ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ.
ಕುದಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ನೀರಿಗೆ ಈ ಮಿಶ್ರಣವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿ. ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಿಶ್ರಣ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ಬಿಸಿ ಬಿಸಿ ಇರುವಾಗಲೇ ಕುಡಿಯಿರಿ.
ಬೌದ್ಧ ಧರ್ಮೀಯರೇ ಬಾಹುಳ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಜಪಾನ್ನ ನಾಗಾನೋಕೆನ್ ಎಂಬ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಪ್ರವಾಸೀ ತಾಣವೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳನೇ ಶತಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಝೆಂಕೋ-ಜೀ ದೇಗುಲವಿದ್ದು, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧನ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯೊಂದು ಇದೆ. ಅದು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಜನರ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬೀಳದು.

ಬಿಳಿ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಧರಿಸಿ, ನವಕಾರ ಮಂತ್ರ ಜಪಿಸುವ ಇವರು ಸೂರ್ಯಾಸ್ತಕ್ಕೂ ಮುನ್ನ ದಿನದ ಕೊನೆಯ ಊಟ ಮುಗಿಸಿ, ಬೆಚ್ಚನೆಯ ನೀರು ಕುಡಿದು ಬಳಿಕ ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಧ್ಯಾನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ, ಉತ್ತರ ಗುಜರಾತಿನ ತರದ್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜೈನ ದೇಗುಲಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಸ್ರಾರು ಜಪಾನೀಯರು ಆಗಮಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಜಯಂತ್ ಸೆನ್ಸುರಿಸ್ವರಾಜೀ ಮಹಾರಾಜ್ ಗುರುಗಳ ಅನುಯಾಯಿಗಳಾಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ 2500 ಜಪಾನೀಯರು ಗುಜರಾತ್ಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಜಪಾನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ 5000 ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳು ಜೈನ ಧರ್ಮ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಜಪಾನ್ನಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಜೈನ ದೇಗುಲ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಸಗಣಿ ಚಪ್ಪಲಿ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಕಾಯಿಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ರಕ್ತದೊತ್ತಡ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿದೆ. ಈ ವಿಶೇಷ ಚಪ್ಪಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಶಿವರಾತ್ರಿ ಉತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಶುಸಂಗೋಪನಾ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕಿಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾದುಕೆ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಗೋವಿನ ಸಗಣಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೊದಲ ಚಪ್ಪಲಿ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಧರಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಬಿಪಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಸ್ನಾಯುಗಳ ಸೆಳೆತವು ನಿವಾರಣೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಗಳ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಹಸುವಿನ ಸಗಣಿಯಿಂದ ತಯಾರಿಸಿದ ಪಾದುಕೆ ಒತ್ತಡ ನಿವಾರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಹಸುವಿನ ಸಗಣಿ ಬ್ಯಾಕ್ಟೀರಿಯಾ ನಾಶಕ. ವೈರಸ್ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
ಇಟಾಲಿಯನ್ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಸಗಣಿ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದರು. ಇದ್ರಲ್ಲೂ ಸಗಣಿ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಮಹತ್ವದ ವಿಷ್ಯಗಳು ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಸಗಣಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ಎಂಬುದು ದೃಢಪಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು.
ಸಗಣಿಗೆ ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಒಣಗಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನಂತ್ರ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಮಿಶ್ರಿತ ಸಗಣಿಯನ್ನು ಯಂತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಚಪ್ಪಲಿ ಆಕಾರ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಚಪ್ಪಲಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಇಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದ್ರೆ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಅದ್ರ ಬೆಲೆ 700 ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಪತ್ನಿ ಹತ್ಯೆಗೈದ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಕರ್ನಲ್ ಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಜೀವಾವಧಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿದೆ. ಭುವನೇಶ್ವರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 6 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ, ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಕರ್ನಲ್ ಸೋಮನಾಥ್ ಪರಿಡಾ ತಮ್ಮ 61 ವರ್ಷದ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ಯೆಗೈದಿದ್ದರು. ಆಕೆಯ ದೇಹವನ್ನು 300 ತುಂಡುಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಟಿಫಿನ್ ಪೆಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಒಡಿಶಾದ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಜೀವಾವಧಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿದೆ.
24 ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ತನಿಖಾ ತಂಡದ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯಗಳ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಈ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಕೊಲೆಗಾರನಿಗೆ 50 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ದಂಡ ವಿಧಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಸೋಮನಾಥ್ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಮುಂದೆ ಕಣ್ಣಿರು ಹಾಕಿದ್ದರಂತೆ. ಆದ್ರೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಈ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಬೆಲೆ ನೀಡಿಲ್ಲ.
ಪತಿ-ಪತ್ನಿ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಗಲಾಟೆ ನಡೆದಿತ್ತಂತೆ. ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡ ಪತಿ ತಲೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಡೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಪತ್ನಿ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ನಂತ್ರ ಆಕೆ ದೇಹವನ್ನು 300 ತುಂಡುಗಳಾಗಿ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಟೆಲಿಕಾಂ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಸುಂಕ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಬೆಲೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಭಾರತ್ ಸಂಚಾರ್ ನಿಗಮ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ ಸುಂಕ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಬೆಲೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈಗ ಇದ್ರ ಲಾಭ ಕಂಪನಿಗಾಗಿದೆ. ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ 4.2 ಲಕ್ಷ ಜನರು ಬಿಎಸ್ಎನ್ಎಲ್ ಜೊತೆ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೇವಲ 82,308 ಹೊಸ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರನ್ನು ಜಿಯೋ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ. ಜಿಯೋ ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಹೊಸ ಚಂದಾದಾರರನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿರುವುದು ಇದೇ ಮೊದಲು.
ವೊಡಾಫೋನ್ ಐಡಿಯಾ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಹಿನ್ನಡೆ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದೆ. 3.6 ಲಕ್ಷ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರು ಕಂಪನಿಗೆ ವಿದಾಯ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಏರ್ಟೆಲ್ ಸಹ ದೊಡ್ಡ ನಷ್ಟವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದೆ. 2019 ರ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ನಲ್ಲಿ 11,000 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗ್ರಾಹಕರು ಏರ್ಟೆಲ್ ತೊರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಟ್ರಾಯ್ ಪ್ರತಿ ತಿಂಗಳು ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರಿಗೆ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಡೇಟಾ ವೇಗದಿಂದ ಬಳಕೆದಾರರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಈಗ ಟ್ರಾಯ್ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.
ನೋಟು ನಿಷೇಧದ ನಂತ್ರ 2000 ರೂಪಾಯಿ ನೋಟುಗಳು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದವು. ಈಗ 2000 ರೂಪಾಯಿ ನೋಟಿನ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಶುರುವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಟಿಎಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 1ರಿಂದ 2 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ನೋಟು ಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಕಾರಣ.
ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ 2.40 ಲಕ್ಷ ಎಟಿಎಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 2 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ನೋಟಿನ ಬದಲು 500 ರೂಪಾಯಿ ನೋಟುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲು ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. 2 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ನೋಟಿಗೆ ಚಿಲ್ಲರೆ ಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುವ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗ್ತಿದೆ.

ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಕೂಡ ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಬಸ್ ಪಾಸ್ ನೀಡುವ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವನೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಎಂಟಿಸಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಬಜೆಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಘೋಷಣೆಯಾಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬಿಎಂಟಿಸಿ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಚಿತ ಬಸ್ ಪಾಸ್ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ನಿಧಿ ಹಣ ಬಳಕೆ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಬಿಎಂಟಿಸಿ ಉಚಿತ ಬಸ್ ಪಾಸ್ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯವನ್ನು 5,800 ಮಂದಿ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೂ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಲು ಬಿಎಂಟಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವನೆ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದು ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿದೆ.
ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಬಿ.ಎಸ್. ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 5 ರಂದು ಮಂಡಿಸಲಿರುವ ಬಜೆಟ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ಬಸ್ ಪಾಸ್ ನೀಡುವ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ: 'ರೈತರ ಸಾಲ ಮನ್ನಾ ಮಾಡಲು ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶೇಷ ಬಜೆಟ್ ಮಂಡಿಸಲು ಸಿಎಂ ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.'
ಹೀಗೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ನಳಿನ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಕಟೀಲ್. ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಗರ ಹಾಗೂ ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರ ಪದಗ್ರಹಣ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಎರಡನೇ ಬಾರಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನೇಕಾರರ ಸಾಲ ಮನ್ನಾ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಆ ಮೂಲಕ ನೇಕಾರರ ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಒರೆಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಒರೆಸುವ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಬಾರಿ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಬಜೆಟ್ ಮಂಡಿಸಿ ಸಾಲ ಮನ್ನಾ ಮಾಡಲು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ: ಒಳನಾಡು ಮತ್ತು ಕರಾವಳಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಮೀನು ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕವಾಗಿ 1 ಸಾವಿರ ದ್ವಿಚಕ್ರ ವಾಹನಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸುವ ಯೋಜನೆ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಮುಜರಾಯಿ, ಮೀನುಗಾರಿಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಂದರು ಮತ್ತು ಒಳನಾಡು ಜಲಸಾರಿಗೆ ಸಚಿವರಾದ ಕೋಟ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಪೂಜಾರಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ದಾವಣಗೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಹಿಂದುಳಿದವರು ಮತ್ತು ಬಡವರನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಕೊನೆಯ ಮೀನುಗಾರರವರೆಗೆ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳು ದೊರೆಯುವಂತೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ ನಂತರ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಇಳುವರಿ, ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆ ಕುರಿತು ಕಣ್ಗಾವಲು ತಂಡದಂತೆ ಕೆಲಸ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಎಲ್ಲ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ಸ್ಯ ಖಾದ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ದರ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ತಮ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡುವ ಯೋಚನೆ ಇದೆ. ಹಿರಿಯ ಮೀನುಗಾರರಿಂದ ಸಲಹೆ ಪಡೆದು ವಿವಿಧ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಪರ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು ಮೀನುಗಾರರಿಗೆ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು, ಶಿಥೀಲಕರಣ ಘಟಕ, ಮೀನು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ದೇಶದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಮುಂಬೈನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಶೀನಾ ಬೋರಾ ಕೊಲೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಸ ಟ್ವಿಸ್ಟ್ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದೆ. ಕೊಲೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಅಪರಾಧಿ ಇಂದ್ರಾಣಿ ಮುಖರ್ಜಿ ತನ್ನ ಜಾಮೀನು ಅರ್ಜಿಯ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯ ವೇಳೆ ಸಿಬಿಐ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಮುಂದೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಕರ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 24, 2012 ರಂದು ಕೊಲೆ ನಡೆದಿತ್ತು. ಕೊಲೆ ನಡೆದ 6 ತಿಂಗಳ ತನಕ ಶೀನಾ ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿದ್ದಳು. ಆಕೆಯ ಪ್ರೇಮಿ ರಾಹುಲ್ ಮುಖರ್ಜಿ ಜೊತೆಗಿದ್ದಳು ಎಂದು ಇಂದ್ರಾಣಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
ಐದನೇ ಬಾರಿ ಇಂದ್ರಾಣಿ ಜಾಮೀನಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಳು. ಅರ್ಜಿವಿಚಾರಣೆ ವೇಳೆ ಇಂದ್ರಾಣಿ ಈ ವಿಷ್ಯ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 26,27 ಮತ್ತು 28ರಂದು ಇಬ್ಬರ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ರವಾನೆಯಾದ ಸಂದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಇಂದ್ರಾಣಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಮುಂದೆ ಓದಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 27,2012ರಂದು ಶೀನಾ ಫೋನ್ ಗೆ ರಾಹುಲ್ ಸಂದೇಶ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದ. ಕೆಳಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಬಾ ಎಂದಿದ್ದ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಶೀನಾ ಯಸ್ ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಳು. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಹಾಕಿಸಲಾಗ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಪ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 2015 ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಬಂಧನಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾದ ತಕ್ಷಣ, ಪೀಟರ್ ಮುಖರ್ಜಿ ತನ್ನ ಖಾತೆಯಿಂದ 6 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಇಬ್ಬರು ಪುತ್ರರಾದ ರಾಹುಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಬಿನ್ ಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಇಂದ್ರಾಣಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. 2012 ರ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಶೀನಾ ಹತ್ಯೆಯ ನಂತರ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 2015 ರ ಬಂಧನವಾಗುವವರೆಗೂ 19 ಬಾರಿ ವಿದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಅಪರಾಧ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಮರಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ ಎಂದು ಇಂದ್ರಾಣಿ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
ಸಮಾಜವಾದಿ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಸಂಸದ ಅಜಮ್ ಖಾನ್, ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿ ತಾಂಜಿನ್ ಫಾತಿಮ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮಗ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ಲಾ ಅಜಮ್ ಖಾನ್ ಜೈಲು ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 2 ರವರೆಗೆ ಅಜಮ್ ಖಾನ್ ಜೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲ ಕಳೆಯಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಜಮ್ ಖಾನ್ ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಮುಂದೆ ಹಾಜರಾಗದ ಕಾರಣ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಜಾಮೀನು ರಹಿತ ವಾರೆಂಟ್ ಜಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿತ್ತು.
ಅಜಮ್ ಖಾನ್ ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ಲಾ ಅಜಮ್ ಎರಡು ಡಿಗ್ರಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯವು ಅಜಮ್ ಖಾನ್, ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿ ತಾಂಜಿನ್ ಫಾತಿಮಾ ಮತ್ತು ಮಗ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಜರಾಗುವಂತೆ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಆದ್ರೆ ಮೂವರು ಹಾಜರಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯವು ಜಾಮೀನು ರಹಿತ ವಾರಂಟ್ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಇಂದು ಮೂವರೂ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಯಹಾಜರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅಜಮ್ ಖಾನ್ ಜಾಮೀನು ಅರ್ಜಿ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮುಂದೂಡಿದ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಮೂವರನ್ನು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ.
ತಿರುವನಂತಪುರಂ: ಶಾಲಾ-ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಟ್ರೈಕ್ ನಡೆಸುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಕೇರಳ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ. ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಸ್ಟ್ರೈಕ್ ಗೆ ನಿಷೇಧ ಹೇರಿರುವ ಕೋರ್ಟ್, ಶಾಲಾ, ಕಾಲೇಜು ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಗಳ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಗಳು ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದೆ.
ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಗಳಿಂದ ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಶಾಲಾ-ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇವೆ. ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಅಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿ ಪಿ.ಬಿ. ಸುರೇಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ನ್ಯಾಯಪೀಠ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ.
ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಷ್ಕರಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರೂ ಪ್ರಚೋದನೆ ನೀಡಬಾರದು. ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಬದಲಿಗೆ ಶಾಂತಿಯುತ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳು ವೇದಿಕೆಯಾಗಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿ ಸುರೇಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸುಮಾರು 20 ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ರಾಜಕೀಯದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದ ಅರ್ಜಿ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ವೇಳೆ ಕೇರಳ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಶಾಲಾ, ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಗೆ ನಿಷೇಧ ಹೇರಿದೆ.

ನಾಡಿನ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿಗೆ ಬಂಧುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮನವಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಂದು ಪುನೀತನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಹಾರ ಗಿಫ್ಟ್ ತರಬೇಡಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಭಾಗ್ಯ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ನಾಳೆ ಸಂಜೆ 5 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಅರಮನೆ ಮೈದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಅಭಿನಂದನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿನಂದನಾ ಗ್ರಂಥ, ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಚಿತ್ರ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುವುದು. ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಚಿವ ರಾಜನಾಥ್ ಸಿಂಗ್, ಎಸ್.ಎಂ. ಕೃಷ್ಣ, ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಮಯ್ಯ, ಹೆಚ್.ಡಿ. ಕುಮಾರಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ಬಿ.ಎಲ್. ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಮೊದಲಾದವರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ದೆಹಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪೌರತ್ವ ತಿದ್ದುಪಡಿ ಕಾಯ್ದೆ ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿ ನಡೆದ ಗಲಭೆ ಹಿಂಸಾಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಮುಖ್ಯಪೇದೆ ಹುತಾತ್ಮ ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮೃತರಾದ ರತನ್ ಲಾಲ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹುತಾತ್ಮ ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದು, ದೆಹಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ 1 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಘೋಷಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಗೋಕುಲ್ ಪುರಿ ಎಸಿಪಿ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಪೇದೆಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ರತನ್ ಲಾಲ್ ಈಶಾನ್ಯ ದೆಹಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂಸಾಚಾರ ಹತ್ತಿಕ್ಕುವಾಗ ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಮಿಗಳ ದಾಳಿಯಿಂದ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು.
ಅವರನ್ನು ಹುತಾತ್ಮ ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಮತ್ತು ತವರು ರಾಜ್ಯ ರಾಜಸ್ತಾನದಿಂದ ಒತ್ತಾಯ ಕೇಳಿಬಂದಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೆಹಲಿ ಗಲಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ಮುಖ್ಯಪೇದೆ ರತನ್ ಲಾಲ್ ಹುತಾತ್ಮ ಎಂದು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದೆ. ದೆಹಲಿ ಸಿಎಂ ಅರವಿಂದ್ ಕೇಜ್ರಿವಾಲ್ ಮೃತರ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ 1 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದು, ರತನ್ ಲಾಲ್ ಪತ್ನಿಗೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ನೀಡುವ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರ ಹೆಚ್.ಎಸ್. ದೊರೆಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಅವಹೇಳನಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಶಾಸಕ ಬಸವನಗೌಡ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಯತ್ನಾಳ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಿಎಂ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದೆ.
ವಿಧಾನಸೌಧದ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆ ಎದುರು ನಡೆದ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಮುಖಂಡರಾದ ರಮೇಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಈಶ್ವರ್ ಖಂಡ್ರೆ, ರಾಮಲಿಂಗಾರೆಡ್ಡಿ, ಜಮೀರ್ ಅಹಮದ್, ಸೌಮ್ಯ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಮೊದಲಾದವರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಬಸವನ ಗೌಡ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಯತ್ನಾಳ್ ಅವರ ಶಾಸಕತ್ವ ರದ್ದುಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನಾಕಾರರು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಕಲಿ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರ ದೊರೆಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ ಏಜೆಂಟ್ ಎಂದು ಬಸವನಗೌಡ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಟೀಕಿಸಿದ್ದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಸಾಂಕೇತಿಕ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಆಗಿದ್ದು, ಯತ್ನಾಳ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೋರಾಟ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಯಾಸಿನೋ ಆರಂಭಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮ ಸಚಿವ ಸಿ.ಟಿ. ರವಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಗೆ ಅದು ಸರಿಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಕೆಲವರು ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಅಪಪ್ರಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ದೂರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕ್ಯಾಸಿನೋ ಆರಂಭಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡುವಾಗ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಗಂಟೆಗಟ್ಟಲೇ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಗೋವಾ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಕಡೆ ಇರುವ ಕ್ಯಾಸಿನೋ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಎಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕ್ಯಾಸಿನೋ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟನೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕ್ಯಾಸಿನೋ ವಿಚಾರವಾಗಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಅಪಪ್ರಚಾರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕ್ಯಾಸಿನೋ ಆರಂಭಿಸುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಯಾವ ಚಿಂತನೆಯೂ ನಡೆದಿಲ್ಲ ಇನ್ನೂ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಬಿ.ಎಸ್. ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ವಿಶೇಷವಾದ ಬಜೆಟ್ ಮಂಡಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ನಳಿನ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಕಟೀಲ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ರೈತರ ಸಾಲ ಮನ್ನಾ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸುಳಿವು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಎರಡನೇ ಬಾರಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ನೇಕಾರರ ಸಾಲ ಮನ್ನಾ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಸಾಲ ಮನ್ನಾ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ನೇಕಾರರ ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಹೊರೆಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಈ ಬಾರಿ ರೈತರಿಗಾಗಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಬಜೆಟ್ ಮಂಡಿಸಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಘೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಬಜೆಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ನಳಿನ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಕಟೀಲ್ ಸುಳಿವು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾದ ಮಾಜಿ ನಾಯಕ ಮಹೇಂದ್ರ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಧೋನಿ ಸದ್ಯ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ನಿಂದ ದೂರವಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಧೋನಿ ಮೈದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವಾಗ ಬರ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳು ಕಾಯ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವರದಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಧೋನಿ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 2 ರಿಂದ ಚೆನ್ನೈ ಸೂಪರ್ ಕಿಂಗ್ಸ್ ಶಿಬಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸದ್ಯ ಅವರು ರಾಂಚಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಜೆಎಸ್ಸಿಎ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣದ ಜಿಮ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಧೋನಿ ಬೆವರಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಧೋನಿ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ವೈರಲ್ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಧೋನಿ ಜಿಮ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಹಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವಿಡಿಯೋದಲ್ಲಿ ಧೋನಿ ಕಪ್ಪು ಪ್ಯಾಂಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಟೀ ಶರ್ಟ್ ಧರಿಸಿ ಸ್ಟಂಟ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಧೋನಿ ವಿಡಿಯೋಕ್ಕೆ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳು ಕಾಮೆಂಟ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಪೀಡಿತೆಗೆ ಕೆಲ ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತಂತೆ. ಹೋಳಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಮಹಿಳೆ ಕೆಲ ದಿನಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ತವರಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಳು ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ. ತೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನವ ವಿವಾಹಿತೆ ನೋಡಿದ ಆರೋಪಿ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಬದಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಹಾಕಿ ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರವೆಸಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ಪೀಡಿತೆ ತಂದೆಗೆ ವಿಷ್ಯ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
ತಂದೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆರೋಪಿ ಸಂಬಂಧಿ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ಶುರು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅಮೆರಿಕಾದ ಟೆಕ್ಸಾಸ್ ನಗರದ ಜರ್ಮನ್ ಶಫರ್ಡ್ ಚಿಕು, ಒಡೆಸ್ಸಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿತ್ತು. ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಮುಂದೆ ತನ್ನ ಎರಡು ಕಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಚಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗೆ ನಾಯಿ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆ ಮರೆತಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿದೆ. ಚಿಕು ಜೊತೆ ಮೋಜು, ಮಸ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಮಂಡಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಮುಂದಿನ ಭಾನುವಾರದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗುವ ಹೊಸ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ವಿಷಯಗಳು ಬದಲಾಗಲಿವೆ. ಇವು ಜನರ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರ ಜೇಬಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನೇರ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರಲಿದೆ. ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 2020 ರಲ್ಲಿ 5 ದೊಡ್ಡ ನಿಯಮಗಳು ಬದಲಾಗುತ್ತಿವೆ.
ಎಸ್ಬಿಐ ತನ್ನ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರಿಗೆ ಕೆವೈಸಿ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಎಸ್ಎಂಎಸ್ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದೆ. ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 28ರೊಳಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರು ಕೆವೈಸಿ ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ಇಲ್ಲವಾದ್ರೆ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 1ರಿಂದ ಖಾತೆ ಬಂದ್ ಆಗಲಿದೆ.
ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ನೀಡಿದ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಈ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಎಟಿಎಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 2,000 ರೂಪಾಯಿ ನೋಟುಗಳು ಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. 2 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ನೋಟು ಬಯಸುವ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರು ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಶಾಖೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು.
ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 1ರಿಂದ ಜಿಎಸ್ಟಿಯ ಹೊಸ ನಿಯಮ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ಬರಲಿದೆ. ಲಾಟರಿ, ಜಿಎಸ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಶೇಕಡಾ 28ಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

A burning smell coming from your dryer is not a good sign—it's a fire hazard. Try removing any built up lint from the lint catcher, cleaning the inside of the dryer, and/or cleaning the hose duct and vents. If the smell persists, you may need to check the electrical components inside the dryer and have them replaced. Stop using the dryer immediately and, if necessary, call an electrician to fix it.
Remove any lint from the lint catcher. This is the small mesh screen that pulls in and out of the dryer. For forward-facing dryers, it can be located on the front of the loading panel. For top-load dryers, it may be located under a small flap.[1]
Clean the lint catcher after each load to avoid lint buildup and, consequently, a fire hazard.
Unplug the power cord from the wall. Disconnecting the power is a necessary safety precaution before messing with any parts of your dryer. If you have a gas dryer, turn the gas valve on the dryer line or turn the valve supplying gas to your whole house. Then unscrew the flex hose to disconnect the dryer from the gas line and use a gas line cap to seal the line until you're done cleaning the dryer.[2]
If you're not sure whether your dryer is gas or electric, refer to the manual or look up the manufacturer and model number online for more information.
Some dryer manuals will also give you specific cleaning instructions.
Use a screwdriver to remove the top panel of your dryer. Lint can build up in the screen (especially if you don't clean it after each load), falling down into the shaft that holds the lint catcher. Removing the top panel will allow you to clean any lint that may have fallen beyond the lint trap. First you'll need to take out the screws located around the opening of the lint trap. Then pull the entire top panel towards you and lift it up to release the metal catches.[3]
If your dryer faces forward, the metal catches are typically located about to down from the top and up from the floor. You'll have to slide the panel upwards or downwards depending on how your dryer is assembled.
If your dryer has a condenser unit that holds the lint trap, remove it from the dryer and rinse away any lint under the faucet of a large sink. Make sure to rinse both sides of the unit and let it air dry for a few hours before inserting it back into the dryer.
You may need to wedge a screwdriver between the top or front panel and the base of the dryer to pry it open.
Use a dryer brush to remove lint from the lint filter opening. Depending on your dryer, the lint filter opening will look like a rectangular tray (this is where the lint catcher slides in and out) or a deep crevice (for front loading machines). Stick a dryer cleaning brush down into it and twist it around, moving it back and forth to get all of the lint out.[4]
You can purchase a dryer lint cleaning kit at any hardware store.
If you don't have a lint cleaning brush, you can use a large pipe brush cleaner or a vacuum with a hose attachment that's small enough to fit inside the opening.
Replace the lint trap, the lint panel, and plug in the dryer to test it. After cleaning the most common places for lint to accumulate, replace all the parts and reconnect the dryer to the power source. If your dryer is gas-powered, reconnect the gas line and turn it on. Run the dryer for up to 1 or 2 minutes to see if the burning smell is gone.[5]
If there's no smell you can use your dryer as usual—just remember to clean out the lint trap after each load.
If the burning smell persists, there may be lint stuck around the parts inside of the dryer.
Unplug the power cord and disconnect the gas, if applicable. You'll need to shut off the power and gas to stay safe before opening up the body of your dryer. If your dryer is gas-powered, turn the gas valve on the dryer line to the "off" position or turn off the valve supplying gas to your whole house. Then unscrew the flex hose to disconnect the dryer from the gas line and use a gas line cap to seal the line.[6]
Refer to the manual that came with your electric or gas dryer if you're not sure where to locate the power cord or gas line.
Use a screwdriver to wedge open and remove the bottom panel. Insert a screwdriver into the gaps close to the where the catches are (usually at the top corners of the panel). You may need to slide the screwdriver to the left or right and wiggle it around until the catches release.[7]
Refer to your dryer's manual to see exactly where the catches are and if there are any additional instructions about how to remove the panel.
If your dryer doesn't have a removable panel underneath where you load clothes, you may need to slide it away from the wall and remove the back panel.
Use a vacuum's hose attachment to suck out any lint buildup. Sometimes lint can drop into the body of the dryer, coming in contact with the heating element and causing the lint to heat up (hence the burning smell). Use a vacuum attachment to clean out all the lint.[8]
Reattach both panels, replace the lint screen, and test the dryer. Reattach the bottom and top panels, sliding and pushing them into the correct position until you hear the catchers click into place. Then replace the screws on the lint trap opening before plugging in the dryer. Run it for about 1 or 2 minutes and if you still notice the burning smell, stop it immediately and unplug it again.
If the smell persists, you may need to clean the hose duct or call a professional.
Unplug the power cord from the wall for safety purposes. Make sure there is no electrical current running to your dryer before you handle any parts of it. If your dryer is gas-powered, you should also turn off the gas. Turn the valve connecting your dryer to the gas line to the off position or shut off the main valve that supplies gas to your entire house.[9]
Unscrew the flex hose to disconnect the dryer from the gas line and use a gas line cap to seal the line until you're done cleaning the dryer.
Failing to disconnect the power can result in moderate shocks to electrocution, so be sure to disconnect it!
Slide the dryer away from the wall to access the exhaust hose. Slowly pull the dryer away from the wall so you can access the venting hose, the flexible tube connected to the back of your dryer.[10]
Depending on your model, the hose may look shiny and silvery or like white corrugated plastic.
Use a screwdriver to unscrew the clamps that hold the hose in place. Loosen and unscrew the clamps that keep the hose attached to the dryer and the wall. Detach each end of the hose and pull out as much lint as you can with your hand. Use a vacuum with a long wand attachment to clean deeper into the tube.[11]
Clean out the hose every 6 months or so because lint buildup is a fire hazard.
Look at both ends of the hose to check for any kinks—these small depressions can reduce airflow and allow bits of lint to get into the central dryer cabinet.
Dryer repair companies can also clean this for you if you don't want to do it yourself.
Use a dryer vent cleaning brush to clean out lint from the vent. The vent is where the hose attaches to the wall. It's easy for lint to get trapped in the vent. Use a cleaning brush with a long stick attachment to pull out lint, making sure to clean as far into the vent as you can.[12]

Use a multimeter to see if you need a new thermostat. The thermostat monitors the internal temperature of the dryer and shuts it off if it gets too hot. If your thermostat is broken, the burning smell could be due to overheating. Unplug the machine, remove the back panel of the dryer, and remove the small cylindrical or rectangular-shaped thermostat by disconnecting the wires from both sides. Then set your multimeter to the lowest ohm reading (RX1) and place the two probes of the meter to the terminals (on one each, it doesn't matter which color probe goes on which side).[13]
The terminals are the two metal prongs on either side of the thermostat.
Before disconnecting the thermostat wires, take a photo to keep track of which wires go where or jot it down on a notepad.
At room temperature, the multimeter should have a reading of zero. If it reads infinity, get it replaced.
Inspect the heating element in electrical dryers for signs of breakage or burning. The heating element looks like a coil (made of nickel and chrome) or series of interconnected coils housed inside a small open-faced box. Unplug the machine and remove the back panel in order to access it. Take it out by unscrewing the sensors located at the top and bottom of the vessel and unhooking the 2 wires located below the bottom screw.[14]
Be sure to inspect each coil. If you see any dark spots (blackening) or broken coils, call a repair service to replace the element.
If two adjacent coils are touching (as if they've been smashed together like a slinky), it could cause an electrical short and needs to be replaced.
You can also use a multimeter to test for proper functioning. Set the multimeter to the continuity setting and press the probes onto the wire terminals (one on each terminal) located at the outside corner of the encasing. If the multimeter beeps, the element is still good. If it makes no sound, the element needs to be replaced.[15]
Inspect the wires attached to the heating element in a gas dryer. If you have a gas dryer, the heating element is located inside the electrical cabinet on the backside of the dryer. Look for a long white or silver cylindrical tube (the combustion tube) with two or three wires attached. If the wires or old or have come unattached, they may have partially melted and caused the burning smell.[16]
Call a professional to replace the belt if you see physical slack or damage. The belt loops around the drum, under the pulley, and around the motor pulley. A worn out belt might loosen, causing slippage, friction, and heat (hence the burning smell). Unplug the dryer, slide it away from the wall, and remove the back panel to access the belt. It should be tightly wound around something that looks like a pulley system.[17]
In some models, the belt and motor pulley are located toward the front of the machine. If this is the case, remove the front panel in order to access and inspect the belt.
Use your hand to tug on the belt, making sure it remains taught. If you notice any slack, parts that appear melted, or sections that have been rubbed away (revealing the internal fibers), call a professional to replace it.
Be careful when inserting your hand into the body of the dryer, the edges of the cabinets and internal casings are sharp!
Depending on the make and model of your dryer, the belt will be located either behind the back panel or behind the front bottom panel.
A few candles can light up a room with their warm glow, but they add even more to your decor with a few unique, pretty embellishments. With a some glue, a few decorations, and lots of creativity, you can transform a plain candle into the centerpiece of your table.
Place paper on the areas you don't want to glitter. You can wrap strips of tissue paper around the candle and tie them in place, or tape down individual pieces to create different designs. Plan out what you want your candle to look like, then tie down or attach the paper with Scotch tape to start the decorating process.[1]
Brush Mod Podge on the areas you want to cover. Use a paintbrush or a crafting brush to spread a thin, even layer of Mod Podge on the candle. You can paint over the edges of the paper to ensure full coverage, but try not to cover the paper completely.[2]
If you don't have Mod Podge, you can make your own or use regular liquid glue, although the glitter may not stay on as long.
Sprinkle glitter over the candle. Thick coats of glitter look best on candles, making the glitter look neater and more professional. You shouldn't be able to see any of the candle surface underneath. You'll get glitter on your work surface, so put down newspapers beforehand to catch it. Tap the bottom of the candle gently against the surface when you're done to knock off any extra glitter.[3]
Match the glitter color to your candle and your event. You might pair red glitter with a white candle for the holidays, for example, or put black glitter on an orange candle for Halloween.
Let the candle dry, then seal it with Mod Podge sealer. Leave the candle standing up on your work surface overnight to dry. When it's dry, remove the paper cut outs and spray the glitter with Mod Podge clear sealer to help it stay on longer.[4]
Clean the candle surface with rubbing alcohol to remove any dust. Dampen a lint-free cloth with rubbing alcohol. Wipe the surface of the candle with it to prepare it for painting.[5]
Dab your candle with candle varnish and let it dry overnight. Wet a makeup sponge with candle and soap colors varnish, then dab it across the surface of the candle in an even, smooth coat. Let it set overnight.[6]
Varnish prepares your candle for paint, keeping the paint in place and protecting it from wear and tear.
You can find the varnish online or in craft stores.
Mark off the areas you don't want to paint with tape or rubber bands. If you don't want to paint your whole candle, you can make stripes or designs with painter's tape or rubber bands. Press the paint or rubber bands flush against the candle to make them easy to paint around.[7]
Paint the candle with acrylic paint. Use acrylic paint and a thin paintbrush to paint your candle in a smooth, even layer. If you're painting with different colors, paint all of the sections in one color before rinsing your brush and moving onto the next, or use separate brushes.[8]
Set down a newspaper on your painting surface to keep it clean.
Let it dry overnight and use varnish to give it a shiny finish. Check your candle the next day. If you can see the candle through the paint, apply another coat. Let it dry again, then remove the tape. To prevent the paint from chipping and give it a glossy appearance, you can dab an even coat of varnish over the entire candle.[9]
Print a photo onto white tissue paper. Cut a sheet of white or transparent tissue paper just smaller than a sheet of printer paper. Then, tape it onto the printer paper, shiny side down. Feed the paper into the printer so that your image prints onto the tissue side.[10]
Most printers flip the paper over before printing, so you'll need to place your paper tissue side-down. Check your printer's instructions to make sure.
You can transfer a photo, an illustration, or even a few words onto your candle.
Cut out the picture. Use regular scissors to cut the picture out of the tissue paper. Leave a thin border around the edges, and make sure that your picture isn't too big to fit completely on the side of your candle.[11]
Place the picture on the candle and wrap wax paper around it. Wrap the picture around your candle so that it's flush against it on all sides. Wrap a piece of wax paper tightly around it, covering the whole candle.[12]
Make sure there are no creases in the wax paper.
Apply a heat tool, like a hair dryer or heat gun, to the picture. Run an embossing heat gun over the image to embed it into the candle. Watch the ink as you heat it—you should be able to see it coming through darker and more clearly, which means it's done.[13]
If you don't have a heat gun, use a hair dryer on the hottest setting. Use the diffuser attachment or wear gloves to protect your hands from the heat.
Peel off the wax paper gently and throw it away. Slowly and gently pull away the wax paper, like you're peeling away a temporary tattoo. The picture should stay behind as a unique candle decoration.[14]
Bedazzle your candles with plastic jewels. Buy rhinestones or plastic jewels at a craft store and use super glue to attach them to your candle. Arrange them in a cool pattern or fun design, or simply sprinkle them across the candle randomly. Use matching colors on a plain candle for the best look.[15]
You can also buy rhinestones with sticky backs that can attach directly to the candle.
Ring your candle with cinnamon sticks for a homey look and sweet scent. Buy enough cinnamon sticks to surround the candle. Place a small dot of hot glue on the back of each and press it against the candle, placing it vertically with the bottom in line with the bottom of the candle. Continue all the way around the candle, then tie a piece of ribbon around them for decoration.[16]
You can embellish it even more with a sprig of holly or cranberries.
Use a ribbon to tie flowers onto your candle. For a simple, pretty decoration, use matching ribbon to tie a real or fake flower to the outside of your candle. You can even layer on multiple ribbons for a fancier look.[17]
Consider removing the flowers or cutting them shorter as the candle burns down.
Wind bright yarn or fabric around the candle for a striped look. Choose a ribbon or yarn that matches or offsets your candle color, then twirl it around the candle to create a striped, candy cane effect. Tilting the ribbon at an angle, so that the stripes are slanting diagonally across the candle, makes it look even more professional.[18]
Glue on seashells and sand for a beachy vibe. Use a paintbrush to spread Mod Podge or liquid glue on the bottom half or third of your candle. Roll it through beach sand, then let it dry overnight. When it's done, glue a shell just above the sand, or tie it on with twine or string.[19]
This method looks best with a plain white or cream candle.
A homemade picnic blanket makes for a great gift or a fun, simple sewing project. While you do need to know how to sew to make one, it's not a particularly difficult project to complete compared to many other items. To make a picnic blanket, select a thick, durable fabric for your blanket and purchase at least 2 sheets of the fabric. Get a layer of flexible vinyl if you want to waterproof the underside of your blanket. Then, set your fabric with the pattern facing down. Add any padding or cotton batting on top if you want a fluffier blanket. Lay the second layer of fabric on top and sew the edges to secure them. You can also add straps if you want to store your blanket using strips of nylon and special fabric Velcro strips.
Make an blanket for a traditional size. You can make your blanket however big you'd like. Typically, picnic blankets are roughly in length and in width. Sketch the dimensions of your blanket out and write the size down so you can reference the size when you go to purchase your fabric.[1]
If you want to visualize how big a blanket will end up being, lay down 2 measuring tapes on the ground based on your planned length and width.
You can make a square-shaped blanket if you prefer, but most people prefer blankets with a short side to make the blanket easier to roll up and store.
Select a durable fabric with a beautiful pattern for your blanket. You can use any kind of fabric to make a picnic blanket, but comfortable water-resistant textiles like polyester fleece, microfiber, and wool will work best. Choose a pattern that looks interesting you. You can choose any color that you'd like, but bright summer colors like red, green, purple, or orange will work well.[2]
Soft denim is another popular fabric for DIY blankets.
If you want a reversible blanket with a different pattern on both sides, get 2 different patterns or colors.
You can get a quilted picnic blanket pattern if you'd like to give your blanket a traditional look. If you're feeling ambitious, you can get a variety of fabrics and sew the quilt together yourself. This is much more difficult and time-consuming, though.
Purchase at least twice as much fabric as you need based on your dimensions. If you want your picnic blanket to be , get at least enough fabric for a blanket that is . This way, you'll be able to fold the fabric in half to increase the thickness of your blanket. It will also give you some extra fabric to work with in the event that you accidentally tear some of it. Buy your fabric online or at a local craft shop.[3]
If you want to fill the blanket with padding or if you're using a thick material, like denim, you can purchase less fabric. It's still good to have some extra fabric though.
If you're going to use padding, purchase cotton batting or upholstery foam.
Get a sheet of vinyl fabric if you want to waterproof your blanket. A vinyl picnic blanket typically refers to a blanket with a vinyl cover on the bottom. This vinyl sheet will protect the fabric and keep moisture out. Purchase a sheet of soft vinyl big enough to cover your blanket on one side.[4]
Vinyl isn't a particularly comfortable material to sit or lay on, so don't use a vinyl back if you want your blanket to be reversible.
Mark your dimensions on the fabric using fabric chalk. Set your fabric out face-down on a large, flat surface. Use heavy objects or clamps to keep the fabric taut. Use a measuring tape to measure the length of each side of your blanket. To mark each cut, set a yardstick or some other straight edge out on your fabric. Use the edge to draw your length and width out using fabric chalk.[5]
You can use a fabric marker instead of the chalk if you prefer, but the chalk is much easier to erase.
Repeat this process for the second layer of fabric that you're using. You will sew the 2 pieces of fabric together after cutting them out.
If your fabric is thinner and you're going to fold it over, double the dimensions of your blanket. This is a good idea if you're using a thin fabric, like polyester.
If you're installing a vinyl cover on one side of the blanket to keep water out, spread the vinyl sheet out first. After you cut your fabric, trace the shape of the blanket on the vinyl and cut it separately.
Cut the fabric using sewing scissors or a rotary cutter. If you have a steady hand, feel free to cut your fabric out with sewing scissors. Alternatively, set a cutting mat out underneath the fabric and use a rotary cutter to carve clean lines. Cut carefully along each of the lines that you've marked to cut your fabric out.[6]
Work slowly to ensure that you don't accidentally deviate from the marks that you've made. If you cut into the fabric of your blanket, you'll need to repeat this process.
Cut the vinyl separately if you're using a waterproof cover on one of the blanket's sides. Depending on the thickness of the vinyl, you may be able to cut it with standard scissors. Otherwise, use a rotary cutter.
Spread a layer of padding or cotton batting out if you're filling the blanket. If you're filling your blanket with some kind of padding, set your material out in the middle of your fabric. Spread it out by hand or unroll the padding until you're happy with the thickness of the material. You can add as many layers of padding as you'd like. Distribute the padding evenly so that it is flush with the edges of your first layer of fabric.[7]
Filling the blanket with padding is entirely optional. You can fill it if you want the blanket to be fluffy and soft, but many people prefer thinner picnic blankets.
If you cut out fabric that is twice as big as the dimensions of the blanket, grip a corner of the fabric. Fold it over to the corner of the opposite side to make it thicker before adding any padding.
Set your 2 layers of fabric on top of one another. Take your second piece of fabric and set it on top of the first sheet with the pattern facing up. Line the corners up and pull the fabric taut before clamping it in place. Alternatively, you can set heavy objects near the corners after matching them up and setting them down.[8]
Pin the fabric in place to keep the layers from sliding around. Once your corners are lined up, use sewing pins to secure the fabric in place so that it doesn't spread around while you sew it. Go around the edges of your fabric and insert 1 pin every . Place your pins from the exterior edge of each side. Push the pin through one side of the fabric and run it through the opposite side. Repeat this process until you've lined every side of your blanket.[9]
You can fold each edge over itself before pinning the layers in place if you'd like a cleaner edge. If you do this, iron the edges in place before pinning it.[10]
Stitch the edges of your blanket with a strong thread to secure it. Run a strong thread through your sewing machine and set a corner of your blanket under the machine. Plug the machine in and set the speed on your machine to its lowest setting. Press the foot pedal or use the automatic setting to stitch the blanket. Move the fabric as you sew by pulling it towards you slowly. Repeat this process on each side to finish sewing the edges.[11]
A running stitch is the easiest pattern to use here, but you can use a zigzag stitch if you prefer.
Do this away from your pins to avoid stitching them into your blanket or damaging your machine.
You can do this by hand if you'd like. If you do, run your thread through each side of the blanket to stitch a zigzag into each of the edges.
Sew additional seams through the middle of your blanket if you filled the blanket with padding. Place 1 seam every running lengthwise and widthwise through your blanket. This will keep the padding from shifting around.
Remove the pins when you're done sewing the blanket.
Sew bias tape around the edges of your blanket to secure the stitching. Purchase a spool of bias tape from your local fabric or craft store. Spread the tape out and open the fold in the middle. Place the end of your tape along a corner of your blanket so that the crease meets the seam of the fabric. Fold it around the seam and pin it place. Sew along the edge of each length of tape to secure it to the blanket.[12]
Run your pins away from the edge of your bias tape where it meets the main fabric of the blanket. Place 1 pin every to keep the tape from sliding around.
Bias tape is a sewing material that is used for securing stitches and keep edges safe. It looks like a thin roll of fabric that is folded in half lengthwise.
You can skip the bias tape and simply trim any frayed edges with sewing scissors if you prefer.
Get Velcro strips and some strong nylon straps. If you want to make a roll-up picnic blanket, purchase 2 heavy-duty Velcro strips with adhesive backing. Nylon is the best choice for your straps but you can use another strong fabric if you prefer. Purchase strips in a pattern and color that will work well with your blanket.[13]
Make sure that the Velcro strips are designed to stick on fabric by reading the label carefully before purchasing them.
If you can't find Velcro strips that will work with fabric, you can sew standard Velcro strips into the blanket instead.
Get straps that are long so that they can wrap all the way around your blanket when you roll it up.
You do not have to add straps if you don't want to. They'll make it easy to store and carry your blanket, though.
Roll your blanket up and stick the Velcro backs onto it. To determine where you want to place your strips, roll your blanket up so that the backside of the blanket is facing out. Then, select 2 locations for your strips. Place the 2 strips out from the top of the roll on the shorter side of the blanket and in from the exterior edges. Peel the adhesive backing off and carefully press the back into your fabric or iron them into place.[14]
You do not need to fold the blanket up before rolling it up. However, if you plan on folding and storing your blanket a particular way, feel free to adjust this process by folding the blanket before rolling it.
Adhere the Velcro to the end of each nylon strap. Take your first nylon strap and stick the other end of the Velcro strip at the end of the strap. Repeat this process on the other nylon strap. If you sewed the straps to your blanket, sew them to the straps instead to ensure that the tension on each piece of fabric is roughly the same.[15]
Roll the blanket up and determine where to place your straps. Roll the blanket up tight and hold it in place. Then, use the Velcro strips to attach each strap to your blanket. Next, wrap the straps around your blanket to find out where you need to attach them to keep the blanket tight when you roll it up. Place a hash mark with fabric chalk where you want to put your straps.[16]
If you want to make things simple, you can cut the straps at the point where they wrap around the blanket and meet your Velcro after 1 rotation. This way, you can sew the strap directly under the Velcro strip on your blanket.
Pin and sew the straps into the blanket. Place your strap against the blanket where you made the hash mark and pin the strap in place. Then, use your sewing machine to stitch the nylon strap into your blanket. This way, when you roll the blanket up you can simply push the Velcro strips together to keep it from coming unraveled. Repeat this process with the other strap.[17]
