Guild Wars 2: Day of Reckoning: The Battle for Lion's Arch Posted: 02 Mar 2014 05:22 PM PST They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, and never has the adage been more frighteningly proven than through the evolution of enigmatic Guild Wars 2 villain, Scarlet Briar. Like many a mad scientist before her, Scarlet's sought facility without judgment, mastery without wisdom, and hasn't spent much time at all considering the consequences of this search. Not surprisingly--and like so many mad scientists before her--her efforts have ended in cataclysmic results. |

The video features a description of the objectives of the map as well as several models and costumes, including Mecha-Tassadar. It's a great look at Blizzard's take on the MOBA genre so check it out and let us know what you think! |
South Park Stick of Truth: Becoming the Cool Kid Posted: 03 Mar 2014 03:20 PM PST There have been a solid handful of terrible South Park games over the years. Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever imagined that we would see a game that not only does the IP justice, but a game that is genuinely fun from a mechanical point of view. This hilariously twisted quest begins with your character as the new kid in town - your mission is simple: make friends and become cool. |

Defiance: Co-op Arenas & Other PvP Improvements Incoming Posted: 03 Mar 2014 03:06 PM PST Trion has updated the Defiance blog with a cool post laying out the details about big improvements in PvP. Among other things, the Leaderboard system has been overhauled to make tracking progress much simpler. While the overall scoring system is simpler, new ways of tracking progress are being implemented to give players minute-to-minute feedback in a pair of areas: Teamwork and Opportunist. |

Pathfinder Online: Creating a "Minimum Viable Product" Posted: 03 Mar 2014 12:28 PM PST Pathfinder Online's Ryan Dancey has penned a new developer blog that discusses his team's philosophy with regard to making a compelling sandbox MMO that is also one in which the community has a viable ongoing dialog with the development team. Calling the process a "minimum viable product", Dancey outlines several key areas in which the team engages the community in ways that not only generate feedback, but also help lead the team to ever widening circles of development. |

World of Warcraft: The Impact of WoWs Instant Boost to Level Cap Posted: 02 Mar 2014 01:30 PM PST Last week, word got out that Blizzard had set its price for boosting a character to level 90 after the World of Warcraft Warlords of Draenor expansion is released. There was already speculation going on, given previous leaks that included surveys with Blizzard asking players how much boosting a character up to cap was worth to them. It was thus pretty inevitable that we were going to see this sort of thing come to the shop. The settled upon price, as we know now, is $60. |
