EverQuest Next: A Community Building Everything Posted: 20 Feb 2014 03:09 PM PST Despite my best efforts, I find myself to be a horrible builder. I can craft wonderful ideas in my head, describe them with epic scale in an essay, but end up making balls of dirt on my claim. Luckily, the February 18 Everquest Next Round Table Response gave me hope that I can actually play the game in a way that seems to make sense to me as someone who's horrible at free-form creation: getting other people to help me! |
League of Angels: Cross Server Tournaments & Mount Upgrades Announced Posted: 21 Feb 2014 05:09 AM PST The League of Angels team has sent word that a trio of new features has been added to the game. As the name implies, cross server tournaments pit players from different servers against one another in epic PvP battles. Players can now also upgrade mounts using a "Bless Stone" and significant discounts are now available in the item mall when players band together to leverage purchasing power. |
Star Citizen: Learning from the Kingdom Come Team Posted: 21 Feb 2014 02:25 AM PST The latest Star Citizen developer blog contains a great endorsement of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, an RPG that has just been successfully funded via KickStarter. General: Prodigy: Combining Figurines with Video Games Posted: 19 Feb 2014 04:01 PM PST It is difficult to describe Prodigy, a new title announced by Hanakai Studio so best to let the official PR take the lead: "Independent French developer Hanakai Studio is proud to announce the return of world-renowned figurine modeller Jean Bey to the gaming world, with a completely new story to tell. Prodigy combines the world of high-quality figurines with video games. |

Elder Scrolls Online: Will Darkness Fall on the Imperial City? Posted: 19 Feb 2014 10:31 PM PST If you tried to enter the Imperial City in Cyrodiil during any of the recent Elder Scrolls Online beta tests, you were probably disappointed to find out that it wasn't actually possible to do so. While you get to fight a dramatic looking Daedric Titan at the entrance, defeating said Titan will only lead you to a passage blocked off by a (lethal) magical barrier. It's clear that Zenimax Online is reserving this space for something significant, but what? |
