Guild Wars 2: Changing What It Means to Create & Play an MMO Posted: 20 Jan 2014 03:27 PM PST This week, Guild Wars 2 embarks on an ambitious four-part finale to a story that's been fifteen months in the making. Beginning with The Origins of Madness, players will begin to understand the strange signs and world-wide wonders they've witnessed and see what those mean for the future of Tyria. They'll also see just how serious developer ArenaNet is about changing what it means to create and play an MMO. |
Final Fantasy XI: Latest Patch Detailed in Update Notes Posted: 19 Jan 2014 05:02 PM PST |

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen: Nexus, the Lost Goddess of Terminus Posted: 20 Jan 2014 01:20 PM PST |
Line of Defense: LoD: Tactics Tie In Now Available Posted: 20 Jan 2014 12:58 PM PST Line of Defense is a forthcoming MMO, currently in development. General: Spellforce 2: Demons of the Past Review Posted: 19 Jan 2014 01:29 PM PST It isn't often you get to play a game that feels authentically like it was made 8 years ago. While it may be a bit of an exaggeration to describe Spellforce 2: Demons of the Past in such a way, it also isn't very far off. With Demons of the Past, we are not only getting a standalone expansion in the series that doesn't require owning previous iterations, but we are also finally seeing the end of the Spellforce 2 story. |
Guild Wars 2: Lets go to Cantha! Posted: 19 Jan 2014 01:18 PM PST Back during the Original Guild Wars, players would travel to different regions of the world. That's right, Tyria was only the stepping stone into a wonderful and enchanting world. The first of the new lands we explored was called Cantha, which had a variety of rich environments that hid deadly new enemies around every corner! This is why players are asking ArenaNet, when can we go back to Cantha? |
General: Crowdfunding & MMOs - Showing the Communitys Voice Posted: 19 Jan 2014 01:08 PM PST When it comes to the overall MMO community, there seem to be few current topics with less controversy than crowdfunding. Because crowdfunded games have mainly been single player affairs, and MMO budgets notoriously high, the skepticism is deserved when it comes to these projects. Criticism and a wait and see attitude aren't unreasonable, though there are multiple benefits to looking to the community to fund a game that traditional publishers might not touch. |
Warhammer 40.000: Eternal Crusade: Getting a Hands-On Preview with the Pre-Alpha Gameplay Posted: 19 Jan 2014 12:59 PM PST This past week we took a trip up to Behaviour Interactive to get an extremely early look at Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade. Everything you are seeing on the site this week (videos are coming soon!) is literally pre-alpha gameplay footage. It is great that a studio like Behaviour is willing to show us this early gameplay footage. We got to play an early alpha build of the game and here is what we learned...it's awesome! But you probably wanted more than that, so read on. |
