Mythos Global announces April events

Mythos Global has announced its events for April.

In “Lucky Adventure” and “Mythos Precognition”, players can earn random double luck and double experience buffs at different times and days throughout the month. “Golden Trash” lets players visit GMs to transform various requested materials into other random items that can include experience boosts and reset items. On Facebook, “Mythical Quiz” and “Facebook Achievements” will let fans interact to earn bonuses and prizes, including an in-game costume.

Mythos Global is published by T3Fun, which also publishes Hellgate.

The first two events for April are "Lucky Adventure" and "Mythos Precognition" which both give double luck and double experience buffs at random times and on random days. These two events will be ongoing throughout the month so players will have plenty to show for their time in Mythos' fantasy world of Uld this month!

"Golden Trash" is an event which will turn your unused materials or junk items into something very useful—consider this an inspiration to be digitally eco-friendly! A GM may at random request a certain material, and players must rush to him/her to swap it for a random item that may be anything from an XP boost to attribute or skill resets.

Mythos Global  also has two Facebook events going on this April. The first is the "Mythical Quiz." For two weeks, beginning April 16, a question about Mythos will be asked on the Facebook fan page each day. Players who correctly answer the question as fast as possible can win a special in-game costume!

The other Facebook event is called "Facebook Achievements," and will be a permanent event where all players will be rewarded with triple luck buffs every time the fan page receives 300 new likes.

Spirit Tales offers further glimpse into customizations

Spirit Tales boasts a possibility of 40 million fashion customization options, and the image below promises a taste of 0.000225% of them. Fashions shown range from cute dresses and suits, to dressing up in tiger, fox, and mouse suits, to swimsuits and inner tubes, and much more. Spirit Tales is set to begin open beta on April 25, and is hosting a giveaway with prizes for over 5,000 players.

Drakensang Online Reaches Five Million Players

Bigpoint has announced that Drakensang Online has reached more than five million registered players worldwide since August 2011.

The development team of the game has made great strides since the game was released, doubling the size of the world over various updates.  Several new areas, lots of new monsters, and over three times the amount of quests have been added to the game since it’s launch.  A brand new class was also released in this time: the Ranger.

The game is available in over 20 languages at this time, and has won several awards.

Bigpoint also publishes Battlestar Galactica Online and Dark Orbit.

Square Enix and Bigpoint Team Up

Square Enix and Bigpoint have announced they are teaming up for a new game, which is already well into development within Square Enix.  The game will be distributed on the Bigpoint portal.

While no final details about the game have been released, it has been revealed the game will focus heavily on social gameplay as well as encouraging user content.  More information should be announced within the next few weeks, and the game itself is expected to be released within the next six months.  Additional information can be accessed on the Bigpoint Facebook page.

Square Enix and Bigpoint Team Up For Exciting New Project

San Francisco – April 5, 2012 – The online game provider Bigpoint and Square Enix Ltd., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in Europe and across PAL territories have teamed up on an exciting new project.

The new game, which is already well into development at Square Enix, will be exclusively published and marketed by Bigpoint in Europe and North America. Runescape Showcases New Member Starting Zone

Jagex has put together information on their new player starting area, the Troll Warzone. New players begin their adventures in the new quest line, designed to show them the game itself, and get a familiarity with the lore of Runescape.

To celebrate the launch, all players will receive a free 14 day membership, allowing everyone to experience the benefits it brings.  This allows access to the entire Runescape world, over 100 members-only quests, nine unique skills, 20 mini-games, the ability to play in full screen, and more.

Conquer Online Launches Global PvP Tournament

Competitors from eight countries are set to represent themselves in Conquer Online’s first PvP Tournament.  The United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Canada, the Netherlands, Egypt, and Germany are the countries being represented.

Players that have reached level 120 or higher, as well as being 2nd reborn are eligible to compete in the tournament, which begins on April 7.  Players will choose which country to represent by signing up for the tournament and casting a vote on Conquer Online’s official site.

Drift City opens the roads to Neo City

GamesCampus has introduced a new zone and special events for players of Drift City.

The update introduces the first zone of Neo City, Neo Oros. This zone, set in the future, transports drivers into a society obsessed with racing and shattered by war. Players must rescue war survivors while repelling armed enemies in a challenging storyline. Neo Oros also features a driver’s dome, complete with 15 missions and two challenge operations. Players will find two dozen new weapons, armor, and NEO-only items, new cars (the Eco and Wave), and new upgrades and aero wings.

Drift City will also be celebrating Easter by having players collect recipes, eggs, and paints to craft Egg Baskets to give to others. These baskets will contain upgrade items, prizes, and Bunny coins, which can be exchanged for a gift box containing high level parts.

Webzen has revealed a new teaser site (ac.webzen.com) and trailer for their upcoming FPS, Arctic Combat.

The new trailer features the initial dispute between the United States, NATO, and Russia caused by the reveal of resources estimated to be buried beneath the Arctic Ocean, with dashes of realism added from real military scenes and Wikileak cases. It also features some of the game’s tactical elements.
