Perfect World International: City Siege Event Goes Live

Perfect World International players will want to check into the game during scheduled live events throughout this week. The City Siege Event is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. each evening when the Sentinels appear in each of the alliance races' cities. The event features six phases with different mobs of monsters invading the cities that players are charged with killing.

Uncharted Waters Online: The Ottoman Empire Arrives

Uncharted Waters has been updated with with the arrival of the Ottoman Nation which, according to the update notes, poses a great threat to the Western European Nations of Spain, Portugal, England, France, The Netherlands and Venice. The update brings a new quest arc, a new ship and gives the players an opportunity to "defect" from their current nation to join the Ottomans.

MapleStory: Facebook Iteration Goes Live

Nexon has announced that MapleStory Adventures has officially launched on Facebook. The new game brings the game play of the original game to Facebook with what developers call "optimization for shorter gaming periods".

Prius Online: Launch Day Arrives & Alienware Giveaway Announced

gPotato has announced that the official launch day for Prius Online has finally arrived. To celebrate, the team has partnered with Alienware to give one lucky player a brand new rig. In addition, a launch day patch has been deployed that increases the level cap, brings new dungeons and other content online and allows players to participate in the Castle Siege Warfare feature.

Earthrise: Game and Subscription Prices Slashed

Masthead Studios has announced that both the Earthrise retail cost and the cost of the game's monthly subscription will be cut by 60% starting August 5, 2011. That brings the price of the game to $14.00 with a six month subscription costing only $8.33 per month.

Lord of the Rings Online: Rise of Isengard Screenshots

The Lord of the Rings Online dev team has released six new screenshots from the upcoming Rise of Isengard expansion. The screens feature the Tower of Orthanc, as well as the Gap of Rohan. Star Wars: The Old Republic: Announcement of the Announcement of Release?

According to a new interview with EA's Frank Gibeau, he indicates that Star Wars: The Old Republic has scored the most pre-orders of any game in the company's stable. While unwilling to be specific about any date for the game's release, Gibeau said that September should clear the murky film on EA's crystal ball enough to schedule an official release.

EverQuest II: Double XP Weekend Announced

Everquest II players will want to be sure to log into the game from Friday, July 29th to Sunday, July 31st to take advantage of what Sony Online Entertainment is calling a "true double XP weekend". Double experience can be gained in AA, tradeskill and adventure facets.
