In the latest update, Scarlet Briar has set her sights on one of Tyria's iconic locations. All will be revealed in this latest GW2 update that is heavily focused on story. |
WildStar: Adventures DevSpeak Released Posted: 17 Feb 2014 10:28 AM PST Carbine Studios has taken the lid off the new WildStar feature called "Adventures". Adventures, according to the video, are five person simulations that take place in alternate versions of zones you have already played in. They even liken Adventures to a "choose your own adventure" dungeon in the open world where literally anything can happen. Check out the DevSpeak Video Diary to find out more before leaving us your thoughts in the comments. |
WildStar: Adventure Is In There! Posted: 17 Feb 2014 02:22 PM PST We've heard a lot about WildStar's 'choose your journey' Adventures recently, but never had the chance to dive in and take a closer look. That's now changed, with Senior Content Designer Matt Tobiasson taking me on a guided tour through one of the option-laden scenarios. Would it feel like a run-of-the-mill dungeon, or had Carbine managed to add something new to the mix? Find out, as I enter Riot In the Void. |

Final Fantasy XI: Big Update Fuels Ten Year Old Game Posted: 16 Feb 2014 05:26 PM PST Square Enix isn't finished with Final Fantasy XI, at least according to the huge update just released. The patch includes tons of new content in the form of quests, missions, a completely new zone, recipes and much more. Some 'nuts and bolts' changes that are sure to please players are things such as the amount of lost XP for being knocked out has been reduled, taxes on bazaars have been abolished and listing fees for items on the Auction House have been lowered. |
Wakfu: Crafting Overhaul in the Planning Stages Posted: 16 Feb 2014 05:17 PM PST The Wakfu site has been updated with a blog of interest to crafters. According to the post, the development team has been planning to "dust up" the crafting system in the game and has a number of concept thoughts to bring that to fruition in the near future. One of the most significant changes will see players become "entrepreneurs" and gain control over materials, tools, workers, contracts, and more. |

Elder Scrolls Online: Why ESOs Slower Pacing Leaves Me Optimistic Posted: 16 Feb 2014 03:58 PM PST MMOs have evolved in many ways, but sometimes players want to sit down and enjoy a good multi-course meal spiced with good conversation, music, a couple of drinks, and spending time with one another over a quick fast food stop. Leveling speed is a topic for debate, and it's been brought up as both a positive and a negative aspect from the press impressions for The Elder Scrolls Online. |
Elder Scrolls Online: The Best & Worst Things About ESO Posted: 16 Feb 2014 03:38 PM PST If you've turned on a computer in the last week, you've probably heard the news: Zenimax is finally pulling back the veil on Elder Scrolls Online. Beginning with the lifting of the press NDA last week and now the total opening of the floodgates, MMORPG has been on the cutting edge every step of the way. I have remained silent, a member of the weekend betas and an occasional visitor to the 24/7 internal test, still bound to NDA. That time has come. |
Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen: Post-KickStarter Plans Revealed Posted: 17 Feb 2014 09:34 AM PST With only five days to go in the Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen Kickstarter campaign, and with nearly 50% of funding yet to be raised, the team has laid out the details for the post-crowd sourcing effort. Most notably, the team plans to continue crowd funding via the game's own site, whether or not KS is successful. The post also lays out the first details of a three-tiered subscription plan. |
Guild Wars 2: Is the Destruction of Lions Arch Imminent? Posted: 16 Feb 2014 03:30 PM PST Tyria has gone through some changes during the Guild Wars 2 Living Story. The players in Guild Wars 2 have been waiting for the Living Story to have a major impact on Tyria. They've fought off new armies, elected political officials, and hunted Scarlet. Now all the pieces are about to come together, and the end result may be more than we bargained for! |
ArcheAge: Is the Sand Leaving the Box? Posted: 16 Feb 2014 03:22 PM PST XL Games has been calling their MMORPG title ArcheAge a sandpark for quite a while now, a mixture of a themepark and a sandbox game. One would assume it's certainly a sandpark game. You've got trading along the vast seas, 120 different class combinations, castle sieging, housing, and more allowing for players to really leave their impact on the world. But wait a second, let's take a look at a recent update to the Korean version that has some people not quite so happy! |
