XBox One X is Microsoft’s Next-Gen Console ($499) – What We Know & What Games Posted: 11 Jun 2017 04:02 PM PDT GameSpace.com During today’s E3 2017 press conference, Microsoft announced the XBox One X. It is the company’s next-gen console that will arrive on November 7th. Here’s what we know so far about XBOX:
Games Heading to XBOXOK, folks, take a deep breath and let’s dive in to what games you can expect to find playable on XBOX. Black Desert OnlineAt this time, BDO will be an XBOX-exclusive MMO, however that doesn’t rule it out for other platforms at a later date. The MMO will also be playable on XBox One, though 4K support is only for XBOX. To celebrate today’s announcement, BDO devs have released a brand new trailer showing off its gorgeous game world in 4K and, boy, does it look good. Check it out below. Rare’s Sea of ThievesAnother game that a lot of folks have been looking forward to is Rare’s pirate-themed Sea of Thieves. Developers took to the conference stage to show off a snip of game play in beautiful 4K. In addition, a release window has been set: Early 2018. Best work on that eye patch, matey! Forza 7According to the Microsoft Presentation, Forza 7 is the first game developed specifically for the XBOX. While made exclusively for XBOX, Forza 7 will be playable on XBox One as well as PC. The release date for XBox One and PC is October 3, however, theXBOX version only says “Holiday 2017”. Metro: ExodusThe next game in the Metro series is simply called Metro: Exodus. It’s heading first to XBox One with “extra enhancements” for XBOX. According to Kotaku, it wasn’t specifically stated it is an XBOX-only title as most of the other games during the presentation did. It’s possible it will be released on other platforms as well. Assassin’s Creed: OriginsThe world’s worst kept secret was finally confirmed during the press event today: Assassin’s Creed: Origins is coming out on October 27th. Set in Egypt, players take the part of Ba Yek, an Egyptian sheriff. As always, players can expect a lot of sneaking around, hanging on the sides of buildings and some pretty amazing combat. State of Decay 2State of Decay 2 is coming to both XBox One and Windows 10 in spring 2018. The horror-zombie-themed sequel to State of Decay will come with three maps, each about the same size as the original. Life Is Strange Before the StormNot necessarily specific to XBOX, the Life is Strange prequel is going to be enhanced for XBOX. It will take the stars of the original title back in time and will come out episodically. The first of the planned trilogy of chapters will be released on August 31st. Minecraft Getting a MAJOR Graphics OverhaulMicrosoft is determined to wed all of the various Minecraft versions (except Sony, it seems). Part of that means that the aging game needs a major graphics overhaul, something that is actually happening! Called the “Super Duper Graphics Pack”, the update will be released this fall. Dragonball Fighter ZNot just for XBOX, Dragonball Fighter Z was announced during Microsoft’s presser. It’s coming out in 2018 and is being developed by Bandai Namco as well as Arc Systems. Crackdown 3Crackdown 3 is heading out to XBox One X on November 7th. It’s one of those “play anywhere games” that can be enjoyed on both XBox One and XBOX. AshenAshen is an action role-playing game is about a wanderer in search of a place to call home. There is no sun, and the only natural light comes from eruptions that cover the land in ash. This is a world where nothing lasts, no matter how tightly you cling to it. At its core, Ashen is about forging relationships. Players can guide those they trust to their camp — together, you might just stand a chance.
