This week, we learned that Mass Effect: Andromeda will not feature a season pass. The news made the rounds on all of the major websites. This is interesting since none of the Mass Effect games have featured season passes, the fourth game doing the same should be anything but remarkable. And yet it is, because the industry has gotten so used to double-charging its biggest supporters that simply not trying to fleece them is somehow noteworthy.

The Tree of Savior site has been updated with a new blog post to give players a first look at a recent balance pass by the development team. The changes mentioned have not been deployed and are in the preliminary phase, but the team wanted players to see the line of thought with regard to forthcoming alterations in game play.

World of Warcraft - Timewalking Raids Are (Maybe) a Thing in the Future

During a World of Warcraft live stream Q&A with Blizzard's Paul Kubit, the discussion turned to timewalking, a feature that updates dungeons from past expansions to current content levels and that can provide an alternate way to level and gear up characters. During the overall discussion of the Pandaria dungeon timewalking, it was revealed that timewalking raids are probably arriving at some point but that balancing them for current content is challenging.

Conan Exiles - Funcom Reveals System Specs, Server Controls & Mod Support

A new Conan Exiles Steam update has been posted that reveals both the minimum and recommended system specifications. Conan Exiles will be available in Steam Early Access on January 31st. Check out the specs to see if your system measures up. In addition, Funcom also revealed how server controls will function as well as some information about mod support for the forthcoming title.

Nintendo took the wraps off the Switch, its next console, during a special event held last night. The Nintendo Switch will be released on March 3, 2017 and will retail for $299. A number of interesting details were released about the Switch including its forthcoming premium paid service.

Orcs Must Die: Unchained - Beefy New Update to be Released on January 17th

Orcs Must Die! Unchained will be getting a hefty update on Tuesday, January 17th. A trio of new battlegrounds are incoming for high-end players as well as a new leaderboard display during the fight on each map. Players will also receive three daily quests, one for experience, one for a chest and one for skulls. The store will feature rotating goods each day, three different bundles of cards, with six on Sundays. Bundles can be purchased with in-game currency (skulls).

Star Citizen - Special Edition: Around the Verse - Alien Languages

The Star Citizen site has been updated with a new video that features an interview with a "xenolinguistics" expert named Britton Watkins. Watkins is charged with the creation of the Vanduul and Xi'An languages for the game and has worked on Star Trek Into Darkness among other projects.

In the last two updates to the AI site, more information has been revealed about the various ships and means of travel that players will encounter in the game and what sets each one apart from the others. Revelation Online - Guild Wars & Castle Sieges Detailed in New Post

Revelation Online will feature a robust PvP system anchored in part by the large scale battles that it will offer players. Guilds can take one another one in 50x50 or 30x30 fights that will cost 200,000 guild funds to open up. In addition, guilds can duke it out for any one of twelve locations that can be controlled by guilds, including an underwater castle, a floating castles and more.
