Cloud Pirates - Third Closed Beta to Run Through January 2nd

My.com has announced that the third closed beta for Cloud Pirates will run through January 2nd. During the event, players will be able to check out additional Captain Progress and more ship customization options. Lastly, the Crew System has been deployed to further customize ships to adapt to the particular battle strategy. Check out the Cloud Pirates CBT 3 trailer to see it all in action.

Black Desert Online - Kamasilvia Region Trailer + New Location Launching in Korea

Steparu is reporting that the Korean version of Black Desert Online will be updated later today with the Kamasilvia Region that is quite a distance from the main continent. According to reports, the journey can take upwards of an hour without a fast ship. Kamasilvia sports new creatures, NPCs, quests and mini-bosses. Check out the trailer for a bird's eye view!

Neverwinter - Storm King's Thunder to Arrive on Consoles on Jan 17th

The ArcheAge holiday season is set to kick off on Wednesday, December 21st and will run through Tuesday, January 10th. During the festival, players can take off on a series of festival quests to search out a winter ghost, praying to the maiden and building snowmen in Mistmarrow.

Now that Lord of the Rings Online is off on its own, developers are looking at some long-requested features for the game. In a thread discussing things players would like to see, Executive Producer Rob "Severlin" Ciccolini wrote that the team is looking into new character avatars in 2017, though with some trepidation.

Her comic, "Reflections" features a fantastic holiday story about searching for the right gift for a companion and then bringing their mutual holiday cheer to a lonely gorilla. Over the weekend I visited Snowdonia in Wales. Over two days we climbed Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach (known as The Glyders) as well as the ever popular Snowden. I've always enjoyed walking - just to explore - and only took up mountaineering recently. While the ascent and descent of each mountain was long and arduous (around 7 hours) the summits made them all worthwhile. To reach the top and look out over the world below, especially on a clear day, is truly breathtaking.

Bioware has put together a nice accolades tribute to KotET to show off some of why our own Mike Bitton said, "If you've been waiting around for Bioware to put together a KOTOR III, you may want to take a look at SWTOR. Bioware Austin has essentially been building it under our noses in SWTOR."

Survarium - Daily Quests & Log In Rewards Added in Latest Patch

Survarium has been updated to v0.45 that includes both daily quests and daily log in rewards, new weapons and various technical improvements. Daily quests can see players earn silver, experience points, and reputation alongside unique rewards as well.

Asheron's Call - Service Ending on January 31, 2017

The Asheron's Call Facebook page has been updated with the sad announcement that support for Asheron's Call and Asheron's Call 2 is ending effective January 31, 2017. Calling the games a "labor of love", the notice says that the decision was not an easy one to make.

Star Conflict - New Features & Ships Added in Evolution Update

StarGem and Gaijin have announced that Star Conflict has been updated with the Evolution content expansion that brings an entirely new ship class into the game. Thar'Ga is a ship that can be customized by "evolving" into five different variations. Each type gives flexibility into how the ship performs with different characteristics and appearances.

Crytek has had a rough 2016 culminating in today's announcement that it is closing five of its seven studios. The only two to remain in operation are Frankfurt, Germany and Kiev, Ukraine. Rumor also has it that Crytek has sold Warface and its sequel to Mail.ru, though this remains unsubstantiated at this point.

Final Fantasy XV - Let's Talk About the Bad Parts

Final Fantasy XV is overall an interesting game which I completely enjoyed and I can't wait for all the upcoming DLC to arrive. As much as I loved the characters and playing the game, there are some frustrating issues which standout; largely because so most of the game is fantastic. I'd like to take a closer look at issues and examine what the core problem really is.
