- Five Great Ideas from DDO & LOTRO Posted: 20 Dec 2016 11:00 AM PST With the recent news that Standing Stone Games will be taking over LOTRO and DDO we thought to look into some of the great ideas that came from these two MMOs. Daybreak is now publishing the titles as Turbine has spun them off into their own studio - Standing Stone Games. Both MMOs continue to have a solid community and here are some of the reasons why. |
Star Wars: The Old Republic - Five Years of the Force Celebrated in New Blog Posted: 20 Dec 2016 10:05 AM PST Happy birthday, Star Wars: The Old Republic! It's hard to believe that Bioware's flagship MMO is turning half a decade old today. Not ones to let a good anniversary opportunity go by, Bioware's Ben Irving has posted a great post celebrating the game and its community. To kick off the day, a special character portrait collage representing some of the 87M unique character created over the course of five years has been released. |
Posted: 20 Dec 2016 10:00 AM PST Over the weekend I visited Snowdonia in Wales. Over two days we climbed Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach (known as The Glyders) as well as the ever popular Snowden. I've always enjoyed walking - just to explore - and only took up mountaineering recently. While the ascent and descent of each mountain was long and arduous (around 7 hours) the summits made them all worthwhile. To reach the top and look out over the world below, especially on a clear day, is truly breathtaking. |

Bioware Austin has essentially been building it under our noses in SWTOR." |

Final Fantasy XV - Let's Talk About the Bad Parts Posted: 20 Dec 2016 08:00 AM PST Final Fantasy XV is overall an interesting game which I completely enjoyed and I can't wait for all the upcoming DLC to arrive. As much as I loved the characters and playing the game, there are some frustrating issues which standout; largely because so most of the game is fantastic. I'd like to take a closer look at issues and examine what the core problem really is. |
