Hello, my name is Paul Carrico and I am excited to be working alongside so many talented people at Pixelmage. I have been making games for about 16 years now. I am a game designer and work on creating and implementing content. I find myself always being drawn back to crafting systems. Working with the crafting communities of EverQuest, EverQuest II, and H1Z1 were some of my favorite times doing design.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - New Facts About the Tempest, Not Just Another Normandy

Game Informer is continuing its exclusive reveal articles about Mass Effect: Andromeda, this time with a look at the player's central base, the Tempest. Bioware has given it a unique look and feel to separate it from the Normandy, the ship on which Shepard and crew traveled and fought in the original trilogy.

Conan Exiles - Early Access to Start Jan 31 for PC, XB1 Version Announced

Funcom has announced that Conan Exiles will be entering early access for PC players beginning on January 31, 2017. In addition, an XBox One version has been revealed with a preview being prepared for spring 2017. In honor of the big news, Funcom has sent out two and a half glorious minutes of game play action. Check. It. Out.

Grim Dawn - Aetherial-Themed Rogue-Like Dungeon Coming in December

The latest Grim Misadventures has been posted to the Grim Dawn forum. Rather than tease out more information about the forthcoming expansion, the team is showing off The Fall of Port Valbury content update that contains a rogue-like dungeon and all coming to the game in mid-December if everything goes according to plan.

Dark and Light - A First Look at Dwarven & Elven Cities

The Dark & Light team is teasing out a few more images via the game's official Twitter page. In the last few days, both the Elven city of Estel and the Dwarven enclave of Zaharul have had a single screenshot shown that reveals design structure around an entry point to each.

At first blush, the job listings on the Blizzard site for both a Lead Software Engineer and a Lead Tools Engineer on a "robust first-person engine" might seem to indicate that the Overwatch team is expanding. However, the next piece of the advertisements say "for an unannounced project". The ads further seek applicants with the expertise to take the engine across multiple platforms and with "previous experience working on first-person or other action-oriented" games.

SMITE - The Holidays Start Early for the Pantheon

The holidays have arrived in SMITE with the addition of Fafnir's Wonderland, a way for players to take part in fifteen new encounters in both easy and hard modes. Each version has its own rules and requirements for completion. There is a new Fafnir's Wonderland achievement to be earned as well as Odyssey Points and the Cutesy Avatar Chest roll at the fifth tier.

TERA - Video Walkthrough Shows Off Harrowhold, a 30-Player Raid

TERA devs took part in a video Q&A recently to show off the upcoming 30-player raid, Harrowhold. The raid will be coming as part of the Fang and Feather content update heading into the game on November 30th. Players can also look forward to the overhauled Archer class, the return of Dreamstorm events and the introduction of GvG open world battles.

The Division - Survival DLC to Go Live on Tuesday

The Division will be updated on Tuesday, November 22nd with the Survival DLC. Survival adds a completely new game mode that pits two dozen players onto the New York City map during a blinding blizzard. As the name implies, they will need to find food, clothing, shelter, medicine all while racing the clock to find a cure for the epidemic crippling the city.

Elder Scrolls Online - XBox One Free Play Weekend Starts Wed, Nov 23

XBox One players looking to check out Elder Scrolls Online will be able to do so beginning Wednesday, November 23rd and running through Sunday, November 27th. The game world will be completely unrestricted and each player will be gifted 500 Crowns to spend in the Crown Shop. In addition, simply logging in automatically enters players in the Trip of a Lifetime sweepstakes.

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft - EU & NA Tournament Series Continue This Week

Good Gaming has a trio of Hearthstone tournaments taking place this week. North American participants can take place in Series 2 for a $1000 prize pool or in Series 4 for $2500. European players have a chance at $750 in Series 4.

Guild Wars 2 - Hands on with A Crack in the Ice

Today marks the launch of Guild Wars 2's A Crack in the Ice, the most recent update to the Living World's ongoing Season 3. Last week we got our chance to play through the new fractal being launched with the update, as well as taking a tour around the new zone: Bitterfrost Frontier.
