Bandai-Namco Halts Console Development for Now Posted: 22 Aug 2016 08:17 AM PDT To better prepare Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade for its PC launch on September 23rd, publisher Bandai-Namco has stopped production for console versions of the game. According to B-N, the decision was difficult but was made in the best interest of focusing on the PC version to make it one that "matches our ambitions in terms of content and quality". |

Matt Firor Announces Crown Shop Item Boxes Coming to Game Posted: 22 Aug 2016 06:17 AM PDT The Elder Scrolls Online will be getting new Crown Shop boxes containing random cosmetic items in the future. The boxes will be for sale in the item shop and can contain mounts and other cosmetic items. The Reddit and official ESO forums are busy with debates raging about the merits of adding such a thing and with prognostications for the future. |
Divergence: Year One - Shorter Better Quality Video Released Posted: 22 Aug 2016 04:00 AM PDT Ethan Casner has sent word that he has posted a new, better quality video from Divergence: Year One, a new iteration of Divergence Online that was announced late last week. The new version features a higher framerate to "alleviate concerns because the video capture was slow" on the first video and caused a stir among viewers. Blizzard's Gamescom 2016 Cosplay Contest Video Posted: 22 Aug 2016 02:58 AM PDT During last week's Gamescom, Blizzard hosted a cosplay contest with the winner receiving a ticket to November's Blizzcon to take part in the Grand Championship for cosplayers. The contest featured folks dressed as characters from Diablo 3, Starcraft, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft. If so, look no further than a four plus minute video tour of one of the game's locations called Titan's Steppe. It's a fantastic look at how Chronicles is progressing as a character runs through the mountainous location packed with grassy meadows, distant peaks, lakes and rivers as well as huts and other structures. It's possible according to Daily Star Online where Sean Murray told reporters that it might have been "naive" to think the game would never have anything but free updates. While Murray did not explicitly state that paid DLC is incoming, his statements could be interpreted as leaving that door open. |
