KOG Games, developers of Elsword, have announced that their cross-genre MOBA HeroWarz will enter Closed Beta Testing on May 18th. According to the team, the game features RPG elements and in-depth story line, character progression, PvP and more.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward: Yo-Kai Watch Crossover Content Coming in v3.3

Final Fantasy XIV players and fans of Yo-Kai Watch will be happy to hear that, like the Lightning crossover a few months ago, content from the Square Enix RPG series will be heading into the game. The announcement came as part of the larger discussion of the v3.3, "Revenge of the Horde" update that will also see a pair of new dungeons, new main scenario quests and other questing content as well.

Being a fan of RPGs and Rhythm games it's sort of weird to realize I've never considered the possibilities of mixing the two together. It might seem like mixing these two genres would be a bit weird but Metronomicon manages to meld them into a wonderfully entertaining and exciting package.

Black Desert Online: Hacker Hunting Initiative Announced

Black Desert Online is giving players a chance to take part first hand in the effort to hunt down hackers and cheats in the game. A new post on the BDO forum has announced the "Hacker Hunting Initiative" that gives players the opportunity to report bots, hackers and "disruptive hackers" (i.e. griefers). The reward? Elion's Tears and GM's Blessings.

Chronicles of Elyria: Bolstering Introduced to Equalize the Playing Field

The Chronicles of Elyria site has a new blog post that lays out a neat new in-game mechanic to help players maximize their time in game by equalizing the playing field when members of a "family" travel together. When a player of a higher level is partnering with others of a higher level, stamina is raised to the level of the highest character, though no additional abilities are added. In addition, "bolstering" as the CoE calls it, brings other stat increases to bear.

General: Vivendi Secures 18% More Stock in Ubisoft

While still denying a takeover attempt, Vivendi has increased its stock holdings in Ubisoft by 18% which gives the company a nearly 16% ownership stake in the gaming studio. Ubisoft has been actively seeking other investors to stop a takeover by Vivendi which only needs to gain an additional 12% of the available stocks to force takeover negotiations.
