General: Tyranny - Taking the Side of Evil Posted: 20 Mar 2016 12:17 PM PDT In the realm of most RPGs you are the hero. You pick up a rusty sword to save your family in the small village and then go on to greater things. You battle the evil forces and return balance to the world for good. Well, that is all fun, but it has nothing to do with Tyranny. Building on the success of Pillars of Eternity the team at Obsidian is now ready to show their next RPG. |

Black Desert Online: Why Do You Think BDO Has Been So Well Received? Posted: 20 Mar 2016 12:13 PM PDT Some friends and I were discussing Black Desert Online earlier this week and we eventually began to chat about the wider genre and how, seemingly, many people have grown tired of the typical formulae surrounding "theme parks". My brother, who rarely plays MMO's any longer, asked why I thought Black Desert Online had been so well received. |

General: Former CM - 'The Customer Gets Lost in the Games Industry' Posted: 21 Mar 2016 08:30 AM PDT Former TERA community manager 'Tonka' is starting a new video series about the general games industry and community management in particular. In his first, he qualifies his "rant" (his words) about community management that this is not directed at En Masse, publishers of TERA, but at all game companies. "The customer gets lost in the games industry," Tonka says, "especially in MMOs." |
