Black Desert Online: Review in Progress Part One

Black Desert Online is refreshing. While there've definitely been bumps along the way, the game is finally hitting western shores with the head start for pre-orders currently ongoing. We've been playing since last week, after dabbling in the beta tests, and are finding the non-conformist way the game unfolds before you to be a very nice change of pace from the usual MMORPG fare.

General: Avalon Lords Base Game Site Now Live

The web site regarding the single player game that will provide the foundation for the upcoming MMORTS Avalon Lords, Avalon Lords: Dawn Rises, is now live. The site provides information about many of the mechanics and units that players can expect when the MMORTS is released at a later date. The single player game will be released on April 28th.

General: Trulon: The Shadow Engine Released on Steam

Head Up Games has announced that its steampunk RPG called Trulon: The Shadow Engine has officially launched on Steam. The story was penned by Shadowrun's Jak Koke along with Trulon's Johan Lillbacka. According to press information, the game features 100 NPCs, party mechanics, challenging puzzles, a large bestiary and more.

General: Darkfall: Rise of Agon Awarded Licensing for Development

Big Picture Games has entered into an agreement with Aventurine Studios to continue development on its version of Darkfall: Rise of Agon. Alpha testing is expected to begin in Q1 2016.

Chronicles of Elyria: A Journey Begins with One Step - KickStarter Announcement

The Chronicles of Elyria team has revealed that it will begin its KickStarter initiative on May 3, 2016. In a lengthy post on the site, Soulbound Studios Creative Director Jeromy Walsh remarks how the journey to create Chronicles of Elyria began years ago with a single step.

Runescape: Darkscape - Experiment in Emergent PvP to Close on March 28

Jagex has announced that its "experiment in emergent PvP", Darkscape will be closed for good on March 28th. The company cites Darkscape's novelty at the start, but that most players have moved back to Runescape and that continued development is not the best allocation of resources.
