General: The Time for Fallout Online is Now

Like many other gamers, November and December of last year saw most of my video game immersion happen in a single game: Fallout 4. As the end of the year brought on the usual annual reminiscing, I got to thinking about all the time I've spent playing in the Fallout universe since 1997, and how Fallout is one of the few game series I've played regularly over the last 19 years - a testament to its' quality.

Reto-Moto has announced the deployment of the latest update to Heroes & Generals. Called "Adams - Ground Fire", the update brings mobile AA guns into the game's nearly 6M registered players.

Elite: Dangerous: VR Support is All Systems Go, SteamVR a Priority

Frontier Development has responded to a question about whether or not Oculus Rift will be supported as a VR device for Elite: Dangerous. According to the reply, SteamVR is currently the only unit supported by Frontier, though it is still in talks with Oculus about Rift support. According to reports, however, E:D devs stopped working with Rift builds after v0.6.

Mytheon: New Egypt Pack Released

When Petroglyph re-released Mytheon on Steam last month, it came as a surprise to many. Continuing the surprises, devs have announced the release of a new DLC that takes place in Egypt. New players can grab the main game and the DLC for $8.99 or the Egypt DLC alone for $3.74.

General: NGames Launches Isomentric ARPG Dark Era

Trove players had to wait what in internet time is days and days for the game to get suited up in the new database structure. The Skyforge site has been updated with the news that the first significant update for 2016 will be released on February 10th. Called "March of Knowledge", the update will feature changes to the UI, classes, Invasions and other quality of life improvements. In addition, the exterminators have swept through the game taking out troublesome bugs.

Tech Summit, has said that understanding the games business and branding EA as "this corporate beast that just wants to take money from them while people play our games" is not what is intended and not what EA is trying to do.

Blizzard has finally revealed the next two characters that will enter Heroes of the Storm in the near future. The female Wizard from Diablo 3 and the Male Necromancer from Diablo 2 will be the next two heroes. The Wizard is the final character from D3, though the Necro is the first of the D2 characters leading to speculation that the rest of the crew (Amazon, Assassin, male Barbarian, Druid, Paladin and Sorceress) may also be added over time.
