Camelot Unchained: Crafted Prey

Posted: 28 Dec 2015 04:23 PM PST

Before I say anything about crafters I wanted to let the screenshot below sink in. That is a thick forest (an area specifically meant to push the system) with hundreds of players and bots (bots that were designed to be even more resource-intensive than an average player) battling it out in a game in Alpha that isn't crashing. It's holding strong and CSE has done very little optimization at this point! CSE finally hit around 3k before their physics system wanted to tap out.

Black Desert Online: On Gender Locking the Classes

Posted: 28 Dec 2015 12:30 PM PST

One thing that everyone here at MMORPG.com seems to agree on, with regards to Black Desert, Devilian, TERA, and other imported MMOs, is that gender locking classes is an unwanted practice. As a player, you either have to come to accept it, or refuse to play what could be your preferred class. In a genre that's original intent was to let you play the character of your complete choosing, locking classes behind certain genders seems in opposition of that intent.

Crowfall: Watching 'The Making of Crowfall' in Real-Time

Posted: 28 Dec 2015 12:22 PM PST

For example, I've always enjoyed the Star Wars bonus videos that talk about how George Lucas found the inspiration for the films, how difficult the original movie was to make and the large number of creative and technical changes it went through. It's hard to imagine Star Wars with Luke Skywalker as a 65 year-old general or Han Solo as an alien with green skin and gills - but it could have happened.
