Blade & Soul: Ready to Hit the Ground Running On January 19th Posted: 19 Nov 2015 06:06 AM PST NCSoft has announced that Blade & Soul will officially launch in North America and Europe on January 19, 2016 at 9:00 pm Pacific / 12:00 am Eastern. Name reservation will begin on January 11th for those who purchase Disciple and Master packs with a Founder's Pack early access event slated to begin on January 15th. |
Blade & Soul: Launching in January and Primed to Invade the West Posted: 18 Nov 2015 02:19 PM PST Come this January, Blade & Soul will finally be available for North American and European audiences--a painfully long wait for those craving the masterful approach to combat in this far-eastern MMORPG. As part of a week-long event culminating in the Blade and Soul 2015 World Championships, NCsoft invited me to get an inside peek at the development of Blade and Soul, experiencing both how it intends to conquer eSports and provide an engaging online world to explore. |

EverQuest: A 'Coding' Melting Pot Posted: 18 Nov 2015 06:21 AM PST An inside look at the many coders who have implemented their work into the game and how those early code threads have evolved with the game (e.g., Legacy of the Baby Dragon). Here to shed some light on the franchise's evolution is Jennifer Chan (Technical Director) and Terry Michaels (Senior Producer) from Daybreak Games. |

Fallout 4: Did I Really Just Say That? New Mod Says, 'Yep, You Did!' Posted: 18 Nov 2015 11:20 AM PST A new mod for Fallout 4 has turned up to give players a visual look at precisely what their characters will say when choosing a dialog option such as "sarcasm" or "hold on". The game as-is does not show players exactly what will be said that can lead to some ... awkward ... situations. With this new mod, that becomes a thing of the past. |

General: Why Twitch Needs Bob Ross Posted: 17 Nov 2015 09:51 AM PST I was surprised that Twitch were putting on a marathon of The Joy of Painting, on the surface it seems so anathema to what Twitch is all about. Having said that, I wasn't surprised at its initial popularity. The idea had tons of novelty for the usual twitch crowd, and the show is earnest enough that it makes for an easy target for that schoolboy 'my first ironic detachment' attitude that the videogame audience is so bound to. |
Skyforge: War's Onset to Introduce Massive PvP Content on December 2nd Posted: 18 Nov 2015 09:24 AM PST Obsidian Entertainment, the Allods Team and My.com have sent out the first information about next month's big Skyforge update that will bring massive "godlike" PvP content into the game when it launches on December 2nd. Players will be able to take part in Pantheon Wars, including a new Pantheon War Tournament with winners sharing in a real-world prize pool. |

Elder Scrolls Online: Console Versions of Orsinium Arrive Posted: 18 Nov 2015 08:27 AM PST |
General: Warhammer 40K: Dark Nexus Arena Early Access in December Posted: 18 Nov 2015 08:25 AM PST Whitebox Interactive has announced that its hybrid MOBA-shooter, Warhammer 40K: Dark Nexus Arena, will be ready for Steam early access beginning on December 9th. The game has been in closed beta testing since May and the development team has made several key alterations in gameplay, including the removal of "lane" styled battle in favor of a more literally open battlefield. |
Elder Scrolls Online: How Class Imbalance Works for ESO Posted: 16 Nov 2015 01:32 PM PST The Elder Scrolls Online has to be one of the most unbalanced games ever to be designed. Dragonknights have a high DPS value with an impressive amount of survivability options. Sorcerers are probably the most annoying classes to fight against with their easy escape abilities. Nightblades have their high burst damage, doesn't matter if they're melee range or shooting you from a distance, and Templars are the worst of them all. |
