Wizards of the Coast will be participating in a special event over the coming days in celebration of Tabletop Appreciation Weekend. Over the coming days, the team will be playing in support of Extra Life and the Children's Miracle Network of hospitals.

The First Pre-Alpha Wrap Report

After spending several hours in the recent Crowfall Pre-Alpha Combat Test 1, I can say without a doubt my confidence in this crowdfunded title has never been stronger. For ArtCraft entertainment to take this player-driven MMORPG from a Kickstarter demo in March of 2015 to a playable module in August is nothing short of impressive. Considering that the module was delivered on-time and is actually fun game mode, it's my opinion that the future couldn't be brighter for Crowfall.

Since launch on Tuesday, WildStar servers have been overloaded to the point that some players were not adequately able to play the game or even log in. To answer the demand, Carbine has just announced that in the next 24-hours, new temporary servers will be brought online, 2 each for North America and Europe.

The Dark Side of Planetary Scaling

During yesterday's Star Wars: The Old Republic live stream of Knights of the Fallen Empire, Bioware's Eric Musco revealed that planets will be level scaled. Players going to low- or lower-level planets will have their levels scaled to match. The forums are aflame with players letting developers know in no uncertain terms (overall) that this is an unwanted feature.
