Proteus Update Detailed in First New Year Update

The first update of 2015 has been revealed for EVE Online. Called "Proteus", the update brings a treasure trove of updates and new content into the venerable game including new mining locations, new asteroid field effects, new (and beautiful) music and much, much more.

Once upon a 2002, there was a little single-player RPG called The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, which sucked up so much of my gaming time you'd think it could have moonlighted as an MMO. Fast forward to 2006 and then 2011, and you've got the fourth and fifth installments of The Elder Scrolls series in Oblivion and Skyrim, both vying for my attention almost as strongly as their predecessor.

Bungie has released the first Destiny weekly update for 2015. First on the list is the latest game updates is a discussion of Crota's End and the imminent arrival of hard mode (currently in testing), followed by a listing of the game updates implemented this week. F2P Rumors Swirl as Australian Retailers Remove Boxes

Australian retailers are responding to rumors that Bethesda will be announcing that Elder Scrolls Online will be going free to play. Game outlets have removed boxes from shelves in anticipation of the announcement according to Kotaku AU, though the move may be part of 'housecleaning' after the holidays.

New Book Series, "Chronicles", Announced

Blizzard has partnered with Dark Horse Comics to bring a series of World of Warcraft books that will help fill in lore gaps and reveal new information about the foundations of Azeroth and much more. Called "Chronicles", the first volume is due out in November 2015 with subsequent titles to follow at a later time.
