General: Cage Match: Skyrim vs. Elder Scrolls Online Posted: 08 Jan 2015 03:51 PM PST Once upon a 2002, there was a little single-player RPG called The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, which sucked up so much of my gaming time you'd think it could have moonlighted as an MMO. Fast forward to 2006 and then 2011, and you've got the fourth and fifth installments of The Elder Scrolls series in Oblivion and Skyrim, both vying for my attention almost as strongly as their predecessor. |

Elder Scrolls Online: F2P Rumors Swirl as Australian Retailers Remove Boxes Posted: 09 Jan 2015 04:20 AM PST Australian retailers are responding to rumors that Bethesda will be announcing that Elder Scrolls Online will be going free to play. Pathfinder Online: Early Access First Look Posted: 08 Jan 2015 07:14 AM PST In last week's column I discussed the games that I look forward to the most in 2015. I caught some heat from readers over the lack of MMORPGs on the list. At the beginning of 2014 if I had to project what I would look forward to the most in 2015 Shroud of the Avatar and Pathfinder Online would have both been on that list. So what changed? This week I'm checking in on the development of Pathfinder Online and I'll talk about why it missed my list of most anticipated for 2015. |

General: Warhammer Quest Review How Not to Port a Mobile Game Posted: 07 Jan 2015 03:56 PM PST Warhammer Quest is the perfect example of what's wrong with the gaming industry in 2015. Rather than creating new experiences that people want to play, developers and publishers are shoving these types of quick, cash-grab games out by the truckload. Let me give you a bit of a history lesson on Warhammer Quest and why you should stay far away. |
