Balance Changes Focus of January 27th Update

The Guild Wars 2 site has been updated with a lengthy post about balance changes coming on January 27th and that will encompass nearly every aspect of the game. Players can expect to see adjustments to Might, Confusion and several items (sigils and runes). The post also lays out changes coming to Structured PvP and Professions that spans all classes in an effort to make skills "more reliable and consistent and a return to regular use".

The first producer's letter for TERA: Rising has been published on the official site. Of particular note is the arrival of new content in February in the form of an addition to the Fate of Arun expansion launched recently. Guilds will not only have access to castles but those castles will be in the sky!

2015 Roadmap Revealed

The Life is Feudal team has revealed its roadmap for the year. The graphic is interesting and gives a visual representation of how far along in each area the team has progressed thus far. For instance, guilds and guild claims are 55% of the way to completion while 'dug pits decay' is only at 35%.

GameStatistics is a small French company that has been tracking French players' satisfaction with MMO launches from 2012 through 2014. Players were asked about their overall satisfaction about both MMORPG and MMOFPS games and include SWTOR, Guild Wars 2, Neverwinter, Wakfu, PlanetSide 2, Defiance, Final Fantasy XIV, Elder Scrolls Online and WildStar.

Hands-On with the XBOX One Version

At the 2015 Smite World Championships, held from January 9th-12th of this month, I was able to get thirty or forty minutes on the playable beta version of Smite for the X-Box One. For those who do not know, Smite is Hi-Rez Studios recent entry into the MOBA genre, released in March, 2014. Smite is no standard entry into the genre dominated by Defense of the Ancients 2 and League of Legends, the devs over at Hi-Rez have made several very significant innovations.

Last night was a bit depressing. After HiveLeader's excellent first impressions and livestream video, I was pretty excited for H1Z1. Four years later, it's still building on its solid launch, having already released twelve official updates and with much more on the way.
