Wintertide Event Rolls In

Firefall players will have plenty of opportunity to take part in the holiday themed Wintertide Event when it kicks off later today and continues through January 6th. During Wintertide, players can try their hand at Whack-an-Elf or take part in a grand melee snowball fight. Completing Wintertide events makes players eligible for some awesome gifts courtesy of special vendors in Copacabana, Dredge, and Kanaloa Research Station.

Fate of Arun Expansion to Launch Today

TERA: Rising players have a lot to look forward to with today's launch of the Fate of Arun expansion. Fate of Arun brings a new zone to explore that is packed with new creatures and the chance at a new level 65 cap. FoA brings a new PvP challenge to players when they face off in the Colosseum. Eternal Strife Expansion Released

Webzen has announced that it has released the second Archlord 2 expansion. Called "Eternal Strife", the expansion sees two new races joining the fight, each with its own starter zone, unique abilities, weapons and more. In addition, players will have the opportunity to take on monsters for a chance at candy canes that allow the purchase of a special Christmas-themed costume.

Android Version Finally Arrives in Select Locations

Android fans must wait no longer with today's announcement that Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is now available for mobile devices in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. According to Blizzard, other locations will be added in the coming days. The Android version joins the desktop and iOS versions of Hearthstone and is considered one of the year's top games.

Those participating in Dragon Age: Inquisition multiplayer will be happy to hear that the DAI HQ has been released. Players can use a web-based or mobile version of the DAI HQ to track their multiplayer characters including accumulated experience and equipment, which challenges have been completed and leaderboard information. The Dragon Age: Inquisition HQ is very similar to the one created several years ago for Mass Effect 3's multiplayer component.

Update 15.1 Brings Bug Fixes & Essence Changes

The Lord of the Rings Online forum has been updated with the latest update notes. Included among the general bug fixes and feature enhancements is the news that unique essences from Central Gondor will no longer be stackable. Players will only be able to equip one of each type. The team detailed how retroactive changes will be applied alongside the long list of other patch contents.

Origins is Back on Track

Last week we got the chance to sit down with Origins of Malu's Michael Dunham to discuss the current state of development and some of the new changes coming to the game for 2015. CD Projekt Red hinted last week that a second playable character would be included in the forthcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Today, the company announced that it will be Ciri, mentored by Geralt himself. Players will play as Ciri at critical junctures in the story, though she will not be able to be selected as the default player character.
