Elder Scrolls Online: How to Rebound Posted: 27 Oct 2014 05:55 PM PDT A recent column on this site argued that the critical reception for Destiny wasn't relevant since the game's sales were high. Yet, developers want to foster a reputation for quality as well. ZeniMax, too, suffered from mixed critical feedback before ESO was released, and in the weeks after launch. Yet ZeniMax embraced the feedback of its community, and now, with a big update set for the live server, is at six months and thriving out there. |
EVE Online: Phoebe Update Soars on November 4th Posted: 27 Oct 2014 06:08 PM PDT CCP has announced that the first in a pair of updates that will lay the ground work for massive changes to EVE Online will launch on November 4th. Called "Phoebe", the update will see some big changes in features like long distance travel, the introduction of an unlimited skill queue, changes to the Sensor Overlay, mass market sales and more. |

EverQuest II: A Look Ahead to Altar of Malice Posted: 28 Oct 2014 09:56 AM PDT Recently, we were invited by Sony Online Entertainment to preview EverQuest II's upcoming expansion, Altar of Malice. This eleventh expansion for the ten-year-old MMO will add a new playable race, the previously-announced Aerakyn (more on them at a later date), and several new areas and dungeons for players to visit. |
General: More MMO Market Intel Posted: 26 Oct 2014 05:04 PM PDT "Overall, the total MMO category is on track to generate $11 billion in annual revenues by the end of this year..." This is one of the infobits released by research company SuperData to help promote its latest annual report on the category. While I don't envision myself ponying up the current sale price of $2,000 in order to read the whole thing, this projection caught my interest, as did the 2014 YTD top 10 title list and more. |
Neverwinter: Rise of Tiamat to Launch November 18th Posted: 28 Oct 2014 11:14 AM PDT |
Elsword: Adds Job Class Mastermind Posted: 26 Oct 2014 06:46 PM PDT Add, the 9th playable character, to the next 2nd Job Class: Mastermind. As Add's power and mastery over Nasod technology has grown, so has the strength and tenacity of his enemies. Unnerved at the growing threat, Add decides to destroy the limitations of the Arc Tracers Job class and become... Mastermind. |
