Megaservers Announced

Carbine Studios has announced that megaservers will be coming soon to WildStar. According to the forum post, there will be one PvE and one PvP megaserver per Data Center. Utilizing megaserver technology will consolidate the player base and increase raid / quest grouping density.

Delta Rising to See Five Voyager Series Actors Reunited

Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios have announced that five actors from Star Trek Voyager will be reprising their roles in the next major content expansion, Delta Rising. Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine), Ethan Phillips (Neelix), and Robert Picardo (The Doctor) will join Garrett Wang (Harry Kim) and Tim Russ (Tuvok) will voice the same characters in Delta Rising.

Nightmare Tide PAX Preview

RIFT remains a very solid MMO for Trion. The game launched back in 2011 and continues to hold a captive audience. It added a free to play model back in 2013 and is now adding a second expansion. The team at Trion gave us a deep look at Nightmare Tide with some of the playable puzzles and zones in the game. It adds a heavy use of underwater mechanics which was not there before. The demo really surprised us and RIFT players have a lot to look forward to in Nightmare Tide.

Like many MMOG fans and gamers in general, I tend to pay attention when major game shows roll around. I'm no longer a regular attendee like I was for years, but I still look forward to them. That said, I started to question a few years ago how much I do so due to force of habit rather than their actual importance. In addition, while looking for information on this year's upcoming Korean event, G-Star, I wondered about its future and potential.
