Destiny: $500M in Game Copies Shipped As of Day 1 Posted: 10 Sep 2014 07:45 AM PDT According to a report at Eurogamer, Bungie and Activision-Blizzard are reporting that it has shipped over $500M Destiny copies. There is a semantic difference in that shipped copies are not copies sold to customers. The fact remains, however, that this is easily the most successful video game of all time in these terms. |
Shroud of the Avatar: Concerns Worthy of Note Posted: 08 Sep 2014 05:36 PM PDT Nothing and no one is perfect though, so I thought it might be a good idea to set my fandom aside for bit and take a critical look at Richard's new work. If nothing is perfect, then there must be some flaws or challenges worthy of conversing about. Besides, it's through examining the imperfections that we sometimes come to truly appreciate art and all its true complexity. As their 10th release approaches, it might be a good time to take that sort of look at Shroud. |

General: Survarium: PvP Now, Open World Soon Posted: 09 Sep 2014 10:13 AM PDT Seen as a spiritual successor to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series, Survarium aims to rekindle that feeling of exploring a post-apocalyptic wasteland. In a recent interview, Vostok Games' Joe Mullin explained why the studio had focused on team-based PvP first, before expanding out into a brutal open-world PvE experience. |
Warhammer 40.000: Eternal Crusade: How the Rogue Trader Store Stacks Up Posted: 07 Sep 2014 06:53 PM PDT This week we are going to look at various cash shops around the gaming universe, and how Eternal Crusade's Rogue Trader Store stacks up in comparison. Remember back in June, Miguel made this post, regarding potential changes to the Rogue Trader Store, but, with the busy summer schedule most game companies keep, we haven't seen a follow up to the shop just yet. So we thought this might be a good time to look at some other successful game shops, and how they do things. |
