Landmark: My Wife and the Unlikely Hero of Landmark Posted: 26 Aug 2014 05:59 PM PDT My wife loves to game, but she doesn't like MMORPGs, as a rule. So finding an MMORPG that we can play together has always been a frustrating process. Me, I'll play anything. An entire generation of milquetoast WoW-rehashes and Korean grindfests imported via Google Translate have lowered my expectations to basically rock bottom. My wife, however, has standards. Pillars of Eternity: The Infinity Engines Back Posted: 25 Aug 2014 05:20 PM PDT Pillars of Eternity's crowdfunded development by Obsidian shows just how much people love their 90s RPGs. The Infinity Engine was the base of classics RPGs like Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, and with Pillars of Eternity, Obsidian hopes to recapture the make of that golden era. But is there such a thing as going too old school with your design? Read on for our preview. |
