Elder Scrolls Online: Emperor Reset Please? Posted: 29 Jul 2014 02:46 PM PDT When The Elder Scrolls Online was in its Pre-Launch phase, one of the aspects that Zenimax used as a major selling point was the ability to be Emperor. Once you've earned it you'd be among the few who have accomplished such a feat. When Zenimax designed this system, the concept of Emperor flipping probably never crossed their minds. Even if it did, the idea of all three factions letting it happen was mind boggling. |

Posted: 29 Jul 2014 03:03 PM PDT This Friday, our own Bill Murphy and the Guild Wars 2 team from ArenaNet will be hosting a live Twitch.tv event in the continuing Points of Interest video series. Now that today's Living Story update, Dragon's Reach Part I, has gone live, the team is looking for your questions right HERE and right NOW and, well, through tomorrow, Wednesday, July 30th. Post your questions in this thread and the team will pick more than a few to discuss during the event. |

Dragon Age: Inquisition: DA Keep Program Delayed, Beta Ongoing Posted: 29 Jul 2014 02:16 PM PDT On the heels of last week's news that Dragon Age: Inquisition would be delayed by six weeks to mid-November, comes the news that Bioware is delaying the online companion program, Dragon Age Keep. However, the team also revealed that a closed beta has been ongoing for some time now and that more users are constantly being added. Interested fans can still head to the DA Keep site to sign up. |

General: Avalon Lords: MMO Meets RTS in New Trailer Posted: 29 Jul 2014 11:00 AM PDT The Avalon Lords team has released a brand new trailer to offer fans a firsthand look at the game and its features. The team is committed to making Avalon Lords a new and innovative entry into both the RTS and MMO genres by revisiting traditional medieval real time strategy and by introducing new elements into the genre without the necessity of what they call "intrusive micro-transactions". |
Dragon Age: Inquisition: Player Choice Shines in New Combat Gameplay Feature Posted: 29 Jul 2014 10:09 AM PDT Bioware has released the first in a series of videos that shine spotlights on the gameplay features in Dragon Age: Inquisition. In the first episode, combat is detailed, along with the customization options available to players based on each encounter and/or a player's particular play style. The entire video is gameplay action showing off party members, spell effects, monsters, locations and more. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments! |
Destiny: End of Beta Impressions Posted: 29 Jul 2014 12:50 AM PDT Last week I talked about how Destiny can be looked on as a MMO. It wasn't an exercise in trying to convince people that it is an MMORPG as much as it was to show people that if you have some preconceptions about the game Destiny just might surprise you in how familiar some of its core aspects are. That said the beta ended this past weekend after we received a tease of the moon and it has left us time to reflect on the good and bad we came across over the past week. |
Black Gold Online: The Coming Months to Bring Big Changes Posted: 29 Jul 2014 08:33 AM PDT The Black Gold Online team has revealed a sneak peek at what players of the steampunk-themed game can expect to see in the next few months as the current open beta phase continues. In addition to normal bug fixing, players will see a level cap increase, cross-server PvP opportunities, balance issues addressed and implemented, and much more. |
