Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen: Volunteers & Remote Development Key to Continuing Progress Posted: 04 May 2014 04:26 PM PDT Brad McQuaid has posted a lengthy letter on the Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen site. In it, he lays out the ways that development of the game can and will continue albeit at a slower pace. Key to the plan is the inclusion of a volunteer development staff and the necessity of remotely working together to move Pantheon forward as the team continues to look for funding sources. |
General: MMO Exploits - What's the Harm? Posted: 03 May 2014 03:15 PM PDT Last week MMO websites lit up with news of The Elder Scrolls Online's economy-killing item dupe exploit. Naturally, this had devastating effects on the game's auction house, community, and possibly the longevity of the game. Still, there are players out there who think using exploits is OK, and that publishers shouldn't punish players for using them. Their argument boils down to, "What's the big deal? It's just a game." Well I'd beg to differ. |
