Steppes of Infinity Conquest Slated for Friday

The Rift forums have been updated with a notice that PvP players wishing to participate in a new "Steppes of Infinity" Conquest event. During the event, players will meet at the Forts and work to collect (read: steal) the other team's stones and transport them back home. Once the kill count reaches 1,750, the race is on to beat the timer as the winner to collect newly minted loot.

Experience Boost Paves the Way for Reaper of Souls

Blizzard has announced that Diablo III players can enjoy a 50% boost to experience between now and March 24th as a way to get players leveled and geared up prior to Reaper of Souls' release. Players will be able to fully take advantage of the new Paragon 2.0 system that allows Paragon points to be shared among all characters on a player's account and to hit level 60 in preparation for the new level 70 that will arrive with the expansion.

Putting the Xbox 360 Edition to the Test

Wargaming's World of Tanks is inarguably one of the biggest multiplayer games in existence, and last week it got even bigger when Wargaming launched it on Xbox 360. While World of Tanks is huge among European PC gamers, the largely console-oriented British and American audiences have yet to fully embrace it. Moving the PC-centric World of Tanks to console could be seen as a risk.

Russian Beta & Trion Talks

Since my article two weeks ago discussing the issues revolving around the 1.0 patch a few things have happened. ArcheAge in Russia entered their open beta on February 22nd allowing for even more people to get their hands on the game. The launch of this version has led to several English communities forming in a few different servers with a popular one being Nova. In the process players are of course dealing with large queues as long as a few hours to get into a server.
