Being run by Brad McQuaid, one of the original creators of Everquest many in the community assumed it would easily reach the funding goal. As the 40 day campaign began to wear on, whispers in forums spoke not of what a terrible idea Pantheon was, but that something much more serious was behind the slow growth in funding: Kickstarter fatigue. |

EverEmber Online: Charming Beginnings Posted: 27 Feb 2014 04:26 AM PST Out of all the game genres out there, MMOs are probably the least represented in terms of independent game development. Truly, it makes sense. MMOs typically require massive amounts of resources, 24/7 attention, and a deeply dedicated core team of developers. However, sometimes a handful of people are able to find workarounds for issues and create something that they can be proud of for a small, yet active, community - such is the case with EverEmber Online. |

The game has an excellent pedigree in the shooter genre. There is MMO-style looting, crafting and social mechanics to create a sense of community and progression. We thought it might be time to take a look and see if they are delivering the alien ninja goods. |
