World of Warcraft: Battle.Net Desktop App Hits Open Beta

Blizzard has announced the commencement of the open beta for its new unified desktop launcher/installer. For now, players have the option to use the launcher in open beta. All game client launchers will eventually be upgraded to the unified launcher for Starcraft, Diablo and world of Warcraft.

WildStar: Convention Plans Revealed

The WildStar team will be on hand at both Gamescom and PAX Prime during the last two of the 'big' gaming conventions of the season. The team will be on hand to meet fans and to help them out playing the demo that will be available to try out. In addition, players can join the team for a WildStar party during PAX.

General: NCsoft Profits Up in 2nd Quarter 2013 Earnings Report

NCSoft has released its Quarter 2 2013 financial report in a stockholder meeting today. According to the report, overall earnings are up slightly from Q1 and game sales also show a slight increase over the first quarter.

We received a message from ArenaNet in the mail today concerning the upcoming Queen's Speech update. A pocket watch with a GW2 engraving and a cryptic poem hint at something catastrophic about to happen when Queen Jennah gives her speech next week.
