Cutthroat Politics to Go Live Today

Later today, Guild Wars 2 players will be able to embroil themselves in political machinations when the Cutthroat Politics update goes live. During last night's live interview with Shroud of the Avatar's Starr Long, a bit of exclusive lore information was revealed. Players who have been following the game might be wondering why Shroud's world seems to have so much more technology than Garriott's previous games, and Starr was not coy about giving us an answer for that. As in the Ultima series, players' Avatars are transported to the game world from the real world (like the now famous Avatar), but you are not the only one.
