I
thought there wouldn’t be news today seeing that Korea and China are
both having holidays, but a Taiwanese gaming site reported on this game,
hence you are reading it now! This is Brick Force, the maiden title of
Korean developer EXE Games. It first debuted in the media back in April,
but I have [...]

As
an avid fan of the Toku series in Japan including Super Sentai, Kamen
Rider, Garo, Gridman etc, I was just as surprised as anyone else when
Power Rangers Online was announced 2 weeks ago (link). Already onfirmed
to be a side-scroller MMO, the first few monster images released today
are actually 3D character models, [...]

(Benchmark
download) So, Monster Hunter Frontier Japan will be having a huge
update which will apparently change the game to “Monster Hunter Frontier
2″, adding in tons of new content, including monsters, areas, weapons,
character actions and more. Seeing that it is a Pay to Play game,
getting into the server is not really that [...]

Back
in May 2010 (link), I first posted about one of the biggest online game
developer and publisher in China, NetDragon, working on Dungeon Keeper
Online. The game is a joint production between NetDragon and Electronic
Arts (EA), and there was quite a skeptical bunch of gamers since the
developer is from China. Most didn’t [...]

RIFT
Online in Korea Goes Free upto 49 Levels!!!! RIFT Korea, in a supposed
desperate attempt to save sliding player numbers, has announced that the
game's first 49 levels will Free-to-Play for everyone, with no content
restriction starting from 20th November. It seems that the campaign held
4 months back did not manage to effectively [...]

Protesters
claiming unpaid wages at RIFT China [LOL] While RIFT celebrates its
mega expansion in North America, the game is not doing too well in Asia,
first Korea and now China. According to today's local news, the 3rd
party group which translated the game claimed publisher Shanda Games of
owing them nearly CNY 460,000 (USD [...]

You
might remember us applauding the Tokyo Game Show 2011 news of Ninja
Gaiden (Xbox) creator Tomonobu Itagaki being a playable character in
Saints Row: The Third. Though, now with the benefit of hindsight, it
seems that the news was less, “he is an in-game persona you can interact
with,” and more, “you can create [...]

I
am guessing gPotato is more well-known in the West as a MMO publisher,
but not many knows that its parent company, Gala-Net, actually has
development studios (Gala-Lab) in Japan and Korea. 2 of the more famous
games include Fly For Fun (Flyff) and Rappelz. Coming up next will be
Eternal Blade, which was hiding [...]

The
price drop may have resulted in the 3DS’ much-improved sales in recent
months — leading to it already surpassing first-year sales of the DS —
but it also left early adopters feeling like they had made a mistake by
choosing to pick up the 3DS so quickly. Luckily a gesture was made to
keep [...]
