EVE Online: Devs Respond to Internal Newsletter Leak & Fan Reaction

A new post on the CCP blog from Zulu uses the title "Fearless, Virtual Goods, and Rage". The post deals with players' reactions to a leaked internal newsletter called' Fearless' that discussed developers' opinions on the subject of virtual goods and pricing. The letter goes on to discuss the pricing structure in the NeX store.

General: Firefly Universe Online Announced

DarkCryo has revealed that it is currently developing Firefly Universe Online. DarkCryo is an independent developer and is working to secure the rights to take over the Firefly MMO that was originally in development by Fox and Multiverse. By all reports, the team is hard at work bringing the cult series to live and already includes several factions: Browncoats, Alliance, Reavers and Megacorp.

Star Wars Galaxies: Shutting Down This Year

Sony Online Entertainment and LucasArts have announced that the venerable Star Wars MMO, Star Wars Galaxies, will be shutting down later this year. With the Star Wars contract between LucasArts and SOE ending in 2012, both parties have come to the decision to end service for the game on December 15, 2011.
