General: Warrior of Dragon Announced

Gamania has announced the latest addition to its growing stable of MMOs. Called "Warrior of Dragon", the new title combines Western fantasy with Chinese mythology. Little else is known about the game and the official site is not in English. However, the team is showing off some nice screens on its Facebook page.

General: Walmart Partnership for Cloud Gaming

Walmart has inked a deal with Gaikai Digital to bring a new streaming games service to the 'big box' store giant. Walmart will pay Gaikai based on user minutes in game. Gaikai is a cloud-based gaming service where players are not required to download the games directly to their computer but rather 'click and play'.

Star Trek Online: Bringing the Next Enterprise to Life

The latest developer diary on the official Star Trek Online site has arrived with details about how exactly the team chose the winner of the recent "Design the Next Enterprise" contest and how the team plans to bring that star ship to life. It's a terrific look at the design process from pen and ink drawing through the draft rendered version.

General: Pottermore: Leaked Memo Hints at Harry Potter MMOG

According to a report at The Atlantic, the mysterious site called "Pottermore" is going to be some type of online game that ties real world activities into the virtual world based on J.K. Rowling's hugely popular Harry Potter series. Little else is known at this point but the Pottermore site is live.

Uncharted Waters Online: Headed to gPotato Portal

Uncharted Waters publisher CJ E&M has announced a partnership agreement with Gala-Net to bring the nautical MMO to the gPotato gaming portal. Uncharted Waters joins other gPotato offerings including Allods Online, Flyff and Aika Online. Service for Uncharted Waters on gPotato has already commenced.

Scarlet Legacy: Closed Beta Dated

GamesCampus has announced that the closed beta for Scarlet Legacy will begin on August 4, 2011. Closed beta applications are currently being accepted on the Scarlet Legacy site.
