Dragonica Japan - New Origin trailer

Posted: 08 Jun 2011 01:17 AM PDT

The trailer for Dragonica Japan: New Origins has been revealed! Well, there isn't really a better quality trailer I could find even in the Japanese gaming websites, so do pardon me for the low-resolution quality. In the trailer, several of the new Summoner's class.... summons can be seen. Other than the new content I posted previously, there will be riding pets as well. There is still no date set yet on when the English servers will get to see this mega update.

E3 2011 - Videos Roundup Part 2

Posted: 08 Jun 2011 01:06 AM PDT

Hmn... I am surprised that there were so many videos and trailers for me to dig out for this year's E3 in terms of online gaming content. The only downside is that despite having many Asian companies at the show, I could only source out one which gave in effort to produce a trailer for the event. The MMO section is pretty much "taken over" by Star Wars: The Old Republic, but here are some "major" videos which made it to E3 2011 as well. Even more videos and trailers at my YouTube channel!

If you haven't heard of RIFT, you must have been living under a rock. A huge rock. Once touted as the new World of Warcraft killer, developer Trion Worlds have released a trailer regarding new content for the upcoming 1.3 update titled Waves of Madness. Players will now have access to a new raid, Hammerknell. More information can be found @ http://www.riftgame.com/.

Sony Online Entertainment released 2 trailers for DC Universe Online, one displaying the Fortress of Solitude raid while the other showcasing the upcoming content update, Ra's al Ghul's Revenge. Both trailers are from GameTrailers. The game's official website is @ http://www.dcuniverseonline.com/.

Yet another update trailer, the jolly folks from The Lord of the Rings Online will now be trekking to the land of Isengard for picnic. If you haven't read, LOTR is Free to Play now, but full content will only be accessible to players who spend some bread on the game. You can try the game's basic content for free @ http://www.lotro.com/.

Remember EA Mythic's Warhammer: Age of Reckoning? Also touted as a World of Warcraft killer in the game's early days, the game has since taken a huge hit in terms of player numbers. Fret not, Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium Online is here! Developed by Vigil Games, the world of Warhammer 40,000 is vastly different from that of Warhammer. Steampunk, I would personally say, is the main theme here. A teaser trailer was revealed "secretly" for E3 2011 which you can see below. The game's official website is @ http://www.darkmillenniumonline.com/.

End of Nations is a real time strategy (RTS) set in an online world. It is developed by Petroglyph Games which worked with Trion Worlds on the title. More information over @ http://www.endofnations.com/.

Finally, World of Tanks by Wargaming.net. One of the most popular online game in Europe now, World of Tanks recently got into the China market and received largely positive feedback as well. Seen from the trailer, there are 3 types of tanks players can choose from, each with their own pros and cons. The game is Free to Play and you can download it @ http://www.worldoftanks.com/.

E3 2011 - XAOC trailer

Posted: 08 Jun 2011 12:32 AM PDT

Phew, finally an Asian MMO! Well, Vindictus and Dragon Nest have their own trailers as well, but both are localized for the English market and I am sure the novelty has won off in terms of what's coming for those 2 games. XAOC is a MMORPG developed by Taiwanese developer, Winking Entertainment. The company has participate din various gaming conventions in the past including E3 2010 and Tokyo Game Show. As you can see, the visuals and design style in XAOC is out of the mainstream, giving the overall game a unique feel. The game is still in development, but you can read more about it here!

E3 2011 - Star Wars: The Old Republic trailers

Posted: 07 Jun 2011 11:06 PM PDT

So, I decided to give Star Wars: The Old Republic its own post as there are 4 videos of the game coming from E3 2011. The videos are taken from GameTrailers and GameSpot, 2 media outlets which has got the most awesome exclusives when it comes to providing new content. Although I don't really post much about Pay to Play titles, I just though I should share the videos with the good readers. The 2 main footage are from GameTrailers, showcasing the new "Operations" system, which is also known as raiding. Showcased here is the operation on the planet Belsavis within an ancient tomb, which I found out is named The Tomb.

The 2 trailers below are from GameSpot, showcasing some basic gameplay of the Trooper class. Comments on YouTube do not seem to agree with the tester's control of the character!

E3 2011 - Neverwinter website goes live

Posted: 07 Jun 2011 01:29 PM PDT

Cryptic Studios, which was recently bought over by Perfect World Entertainment, has revealed the debut trailer for Neverwinter and the game's website has just launched as well. While the Atari's logo is still visible, Perfect World's should replace it in due time. Will the game be a Free to Play, Pay to Play or a hybrid Freemium model? Well, time will tell. The game's official website has tons of information, so head on down and have a read!

E3 2011 - Ghost Recon Online going cross-platform?

Posted: 07 Jun 2011 10:45 AM PDT

According to the Nintendo's E3 2011 press conference which ended just minutes ago, the President of Nintendo America, Mr Reggie Fils-Aime, mentioned that the new Wii U controller will be supporting Ghost Recon Online. While Ghost Recon Online is confirmed for the PC system, it came as a surprise news that the game will grace Nintendo Wii U, the company's successor to Wii. Will it be cross platform or will the Wii version has its own server? More information when made available. Sign up for Closed Beta here!
