World of Warcraft - v7.2 Hits the PTR with Legion Flying, Pet Battle Dungeons

The World of Warcraft PTR has been updated to v7.2 for testing. The next major update to Legion will bring a number of interesting content to WoW including a special level 25 pet battle dungeon, tab targeting improvements, updated spell effects for Death Knights, Druids and Hunters. In addition, PvP players will be able to make improvements to gear via the Obliterum Forge in Dalaran.

World of Warcraft - Blizzard-Backed Cooking Show Begins in South Korea

Blizzard is teasing the palettes of South Korean World of Warcraft fans with a new television show that centers on cooking WoW-themed dishes. Called The Meal is Ready, the show is hosted by a well-known South Korean chef named Choi Hyun-seok, also a WoW fan. In addition to preparing cuisine themed around World of Warcraft, guests will discuss their time in game as well.

Robocraft - Join Team Kaleigh & Help Save a Life

Freejam and the Robocraft community are taking part in a special charity event to raise money to help fund the treatment of a rare brain cancer afflicting a little girl named Kaleigh whose family is quite close to the development team. From today through January 26th, "You Play, We Pay" is going on with every match seeing four pence donated to the cause. Players can also make direct donations to Kaleigh's fund. Freejam is hoping to raise �10,000.

The Albion Online site has been updated with a sneak peek at the new Royal Continent layout. The team made the decision to rework the Royal Isle due to a recent wipe and that significant improvements could be made to the location without any impact on meeting development goals. The new zone is set up "like a pie-chart with each slice being a biome with one city" the blog post says.

Paradox Interactive, owner of White Wolf Publishing, has announced a new partnership with Focus Home Interactive to bring a "video game adaptation of the World of Darkness Storyteller game, "Werewolf: The Apocalypse", to the world. The game will be developed by Cyanide Studios, most recently at work on Call of Cthulhu and Styx: Master of Shadows.

A group of blogger friends called Too Much Gaming have posted a moving tribute to a fellow Overwatch player who recently passed away. Twelve players went into the game and performed a 12-gun salute to Willem Den Toom. Each player used characters "that he loved and most frequently used", the team said.

Shiro Games has announced that its latest game in development, "Northgard", is set to hit Steam Early Access on February 22nd. The game allows players to take control of a Viking clan and to establish a village on their behalf and to collect resources to grow the society. The game will grow to include a dedicated multiplayer mode over time.
