With the commencement of the limited "limited alpha" that includes VIPs, streaming notables, members of the games press, and some rank-and-file players, the information about the World of Warcraft: Legion expansion has flooded out the gate. Blizzard places no limits on its alpha players and, in fact, encourages them to stream game play, write about it, post impressions and screenshots and much more.

Legion Pre-Beta (i.e. Friends & Family) Has Begun!

Several World of Warcraft community members, including a few of the admins at WoWhead, are reporting that their invites to the Legion beta have arrived. With friends and family, the internal beta begins and, over time, select community members, streamers, ViPs and more will be added before the more extensive beta begins. All in all, it's a good sign.

Sword Art Online: Lost Song - Charming, but Archaic

Sword Art Online is largely an unknown to me. I know it's an anime, manga, and videogame series about a group of kids who play a virtual reality MMO known as Sword Art Online. I also know they the main characters were stuck in this world fighting to the death (as if you died you died in real life). It's a pretty heady storyline, but Lost Song is my first real dive into the world of Sword Art Online.
