General: 38 Studios' Curt Schilling Battling Cancer

Former 38 Studios CEO Curt Schilling has revealed that he is battling cancer. In a statement released by Schilling's current employer, ESPN, it was revealed that the former baseball star turned video game developer is suffering from the disease. The exact type of cancer and his prognosis is not immediately known.

Next Update to Feature New Dream Weaver Profession

February 12th, Rift players will have a lot of new content to explore with the arrival of the latest update that, most significantly, will include the Dream Weaver crafting profession. Dream Weaver is the new profession that allows players to craft custom items for the in-game housing system or "dimensions".

Hawken players will now be required to have a Steam account in order to play the game. The development team felt this was the right move to enhance the game prior to its retail release sometime later this year. In addition, the team looks forward to bringing thousands of new faces into the mech-themed game.

What the Mature Rating Means for ESO

"Mature Rating" is the Entertainment Software Rating Board designation of M (age 17+), and the official rating given by the ESRB to The Elder Scrolls Online. The game was just over 60 days from launch when they were struck with this news. In a post by Zenimax, they said, "While we disagree with the ESRB's determination, we do not plan to challenge the rating, and we are unwilling to change the game's content to achieve a different rating."
