General: Aida Arenas Closed Beta Coming June 30th

Game Bridger Entertainment has announced that its upcoming online brawler with persistent MMO elements, Aida Arenas, will be entering its closed beta phase of development on June 30th. The length of the beta has not been announced but interested players can still sign up to participate.

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning: Latest Patch Coming Today

The Warhammer Herald has been updated with the news that North American and European servers will be taken down today to deploy the 1.4.3 patch. The new patch will bring the Sigmartide two week live event into game as well as new RvR accessory sets, name changes and the 'scenario shakeup'.

EVE Online: Cancelled Subs Could Cost CCP $1 Million

According to a report published at Develop Online, EVE Online developer CCP Games could lost nearly a million dollars due to cancelled subscriptions. A document has surfaced with the names of over five thousand players indicating they will be cancelling their EVE subscription over recent documents focused around the company's microtransaction revenue model.

The EVE Online site has been updated with the official patch notes for the Incarna v1.0.1 patch that is scheduled to be deployed tomorrow, June 28th. The patch addresses several bug fixes to the interface and graphics among other things.

Square Enix producer Franko Fonseca will be on hand to host a Wakfu panel to discuss the game's development. Additionally, attendees will have the chance to win limited edition Wakfu plush toys and have the opportunity to screen the Wakfu animated cartoon.

Firefall - Red 5 Studios file lawsuit against Webzen

Since early this year, there were many reports about the bad working relationship between Korean online gaming company Webzen and North American developer Red 5 Studios over the licensing rights for Firefall. Today, foreign reports were claiming that Red 5 Studios officially filed a lawsuit against Webzen on 24th June at the Californian courts. The lawsuit depicts the ongoing struggle for the Asia-Pacific publishing rights for Firefall and the many wrong-doings of Webzen. The amount Red 5 is suing for is reportedly to be USD 5million.


At this point of time, Webzen has not filed any counter suit. Red 5 Studios claimed that a visit to Webzen in March was rejected by the Korean company, which left Red 5 no choice but to protect its rights through legal channels. It is unknown if the ongoing saga will affect Firefall in other regions. For more news about Firefall, read my previous posts.
