Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning: College of Corruption Test Tomorrow

The Warhammer Online team is inviting players to head into the public test server on Thursday, June 16th to test out the College of Corruption event scenario. The test will run for approximately five hours beginning at 2 p.m. EST.

EVE Online: Under Attack

The same group of hackers responsible, or who claim responsibility, for the recent Sony hacking incident are now attacking CCP's EVE Online server. According to a terse post on the EVE Facebook page, CCP is shutting the server down until further notice to deal with the attack.

Rift: Looking for PvPers

The Rift dev team has announced that it will be conducting a massive PvP Battle Royale on the public test server beginning today and lasting for the next three days. Developers will be on hand beginning at 4:30 p.m. PST today to guide the test and are looking forward to hearing feedback from players about the PvP changes being implemented in a future patch.

Runescape: Celebrate 10 Years at Runefest 2011

TERA Japan - Official desktop endorsed

The gaming industry and hardware industry in Japan do work closely with each other to promote their products. Last I remember, Final Fantasy XIV Online had a similar promotion back when it was first released. Now, TERA Japan is nearing the beta phase and the promotions are starting to emerge. 


Hangame Japan, the publisher, has teamed up with PC company G-Tune and introduce the official desktops for the game, NextGear-Micro and NextGear. Both systems come with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. The NextGear-Micro (USD 911.00) sports an i5-2400 CPU, 4GB of RAM and Nvidia Geforce GTX550Ti. The NextGear (USD 1484.50) comes fitted with an i7-2600 CPU, 8GB of RAM and Nvidia GTX570. Customers who buy either of these 2 system will also get exclusive in-game items as shown below. They include a mount, 20 x Full Revive Scrolls (revive with 100% HP and MP), 20 x item to recover 100% MP, 20 x item to recover 100% HP and a level 35 ring which improves defense by 57, Strike by 30 and increase MP amount by 81. Not to forget a DVD installation client as well.

Dragon Ball Online (TW) - Open Beta time revealed

Hello all! I hope you have successfully registered for the Open Beta phase for Dragon Ball Online Taiwan seen here. Just a reminder, it is now 15th June in Taiwan, but the game servers will only start at 17:00 (or 5:00PM) Taiwanese time. Click here to check the time in Taiwan now. Please be informed that there is bound to be massive lag as a few hundred thousand players are expected to hit the servers once they are opened. Steam opens up new Free to Play section

Lo and behold, guess who jumped on the Free to Play online games wagon? It is non other than Steam, the world's biggest digital games distribution platform! While not all titles are available yet, I am certainly surprised to see Steam achievements added as well. Will we see some kind of exclusives for Steam users? We shall see!
