General: Why You Should Buy a Solid State Drive Posted: 22 Jun 2016 04:57 PM PDT While they're slowly branching out, MMORPGs have long existed in the realm of PC gaming, which is a huge benefit to the genre but also comes at a cost with needed to update and maintain a decent computer to play the more recent releases. With the likes of Black Desert Online, Final Fantasy XIV, and even older games like Guild Wars 2 still demanding a decent rig, keeping everything up to date can be confusing if you don't know where to start. |

Among other things, players can look forward to a new pet called the Earth Guardian, two new pet enhancements, the new cross server PvP battlefield and much more. |

Black Desert Online: Hacking Shut Down? Eyewitnesses Think So Posted: 24 Jun 2016 02:32 PM PDT Thanks to our own HoldenHamlet for this find: It appears that CD hacks and skill spammer hacks have been shut down in an unreported piece of recent updates. Reddit user Ninjamonke wrote that it appears that the death of these hacks is legit from statements made in the BDO bot maker's Discord channel from both staff and developers of the programs. |
Lord of the Rings Online: Never Say Never - Next Raid Already in the Works Posted: 24 Jun 2016 01:48 PM PDT |
General: Zelda Was In Trouble, Breath of Wind Might Save It Posted: 21 Jun 2016 05:05 PM PDT Zelda: Breath of the Wild was the unexpected Game of the Show for many fans at this year's E3. Many of us expected what Nintendo has been delivering: more Zelda. This time Link would be in an open world, of course, but by and large the series kept its mainstays only making additions within a well-worn wrapper. |
Black Desert Online: Rumor Squashed: Daniel Loehr On Paternity Leave, Not Fired Posted: 24 Jun 2016 01:06 PM PDT To anyone who might have heard a rumor that Black Desert Online Project Manager Daniel Loehr had been fired, please consider yourself disabused of the notion. We reached out to Daum EU's Rick van Beem about the rumor and were told that Daniel is a proud new father currently on paternity leave for a couple of months. While Daniel is away, an associate project manager has been appointed to keep things shipshape. |

It'll be on PC, XB1 and PS4, and it launches on August 2nd. We managed to catch up with Livelock's lead designer Kevin Neibert to chat about the game, its reception since debuting at PAX, and what players can expect when it launches in just over a month. |

According to Night Dive Studios CEO Stephen Kick, the "passion and resources" the development team is putting into the project raises it above a reboot or remaster and into something more. |

Each game's release date shows on the day it arrives along with its box art. In addition, major games conventions are marked to give easy reference for fans looking for announcements about their favorite titles. |
Tyranny: E3 2016 - When Being Evil is a Day Job Posted: 23 Jun 2016 10:23 AM PDT Tyranny is not your typical RPG. Instead of being filled with hope and wide-eyed enthusiasm for justice, it places you in a world that has already fallen to the forces of evil--the forces you work for. At E3, I got a chance to go hands on with Tyranny for about a half an hour, exploring a bit of the story and new refinements to both the combat and just the game in general, some which were subtle but also extremely welcome. |

Players can enjoy earning 2x experience and can keep an eye on Battleborn social media for a chance to score two hero skins -- Oscar Mike's Tango Tango skin and Rath's A Dark Night skin. |
