Elder Scrolls Online: What We Know About One Tamriel Posted: 14 Jun 2016 11:53 AM PDT The Elder Scrolls Online was always supposed to be an Elder Scrolls game that allows you to play with friends, but that was never the case. Sure, you could play with your friends, if they were your level, if they were the same faction. I can't tell you how many times I've rolled a new character just to play with a friend. At the BE3 event, Matt Firor announced that these invisible barriers will be removed this fall when they launch, One Tamriel. |

Dual Universe: How the Game's Single Shard Server Works Posted: 15 Jun 2016 06:38 AM PDT Dual Universe is an incredibly ambitious game, and I wouldn't blame you if you felt a little skeptical about its promise of creating a shared universe where millions of players can coexist. Dual Universe isn't just meant to be explored, but also lived in as players begin to organize and form their own digital societies. During E3 in LA, I sat down with the founder of Dual Universe developer Novaquark, JC Baille, to talk candidly about what Dual Universe is, but more importantly, how it works. |

Guild Wars 2: Running the Gauntlet - Our Preview of GW2's Next Raid Wing Posted: 14 Jun 2016 12:40 AM PDT That's my totally canonical explanation for the preview encounter I ran last week, part of the Stronghold of the Faithful raid wing that goes live today for Guild Wars 2. Unlike the previous boss battles I'd had the opportunity to check out, this was more of a "gauntlet"-style encounter that required the players to continuously push forward and face down an endless wave of enemies while trying to complete their objectives. |
