Das Tal: The Indie Sandbox Gets a Kickstarter Posted: 10 May 2015 05:41 PM PDT Das Tal has come a long way since my preview of it last year. Fairytale Distillery's vision and approach for it is ambitious, with the goal of offering an accessible but hardcore sandbox MMO experience that focuses on PvP, crafting, and skill-based combat. From what I've seen so far, Fairytale looks to be on the right track. |

Named "Ragefire", the team anticipates that the server will be ready to go on the 20th in the afternoon after receiving a bit of "attention" after it's enabled earlier in the day. |
World of Warcraft: Being Leeeeeeeeeeeeeroy Jenkins for a Decade Posted: 10 May 2015 06:12 PM PDT World of Warcraft is celebrating a fantastic cultural phenomenon today by remembering everyone's favorite charge into battle moment: LEEEEROY JENKINS! It was such a brilliantly funny moment that perfectly captured the grace and strategy of WoW raiding that Blizzard even named a pair of achievements after the erstwhile player (both classic and modern versions) after the erstwhile player. Those finishing the achievement are granted the "Jenkins" title. |

Echo of Soul: 5 Ways Echo of Soul Could Improve Posted: 09 May 2015 07:30 PM PDT Echo of Soul, an upcoming Korean MMO developed by Nvius and published by Aeria Games. The good news is that if you're looking for a unique, engaging, and exciting MMO to dump dozens or even hundreds of hours into, there are lots of options out there to pick from. The bad news is that Echo of Souls is not one of them. As several of us pointed out in impressions pieces from the Closed Beta, it's not really a good game, but it's not really a bad game either. It's just kind of... there. |
