General: Paid Mods Are Likely to Return Posted: 29 Apr 2015 06:42 PM PDT Here on the Internet, we love a good debacle. This weekend, the most beloved gaming retailer in the world teamed up with the world's most beloved RPG publisher to collectively "piss off the internet". Valve and Bethesda trying to monetize Skyrim mods? It's on hold for now but paid modding is far from dead. |
Cabal 2: The Daily Quest: Does ESTsoft's Sequel Strike Your Fancy? Posted: 01 May 2015 06:39 AM PDT Since the news of the forthcoming beta season for Cabal 2, a lot of buzz has been generated both for the acquisition of beta keys and interest in news related to the game. Our own Bill Murphy spent quite awhile in a live stream last night and produced the video below (he'll have a first impressions article later today). Check it out and let us know: Does Cabal 2 strike your fancy? Why or why not? |

Crowfall: Eternal Kingdoms FAQ Update & Game Store Goes Live Posted: 30 Apr 2015 04:53 PM PDT The Crowfall site has been updated with a new, updated FAQ about the Eternal Kingdoms, that portion of land that serves as a min-world, in essence a smaller version of a campaign world. According to the FAQ, Eternal Kingdoms allow players to construct, fight monsters, craft and explore, all from the comfort of their virtual home. |
Marvel Heroes 2015: Need to Achieve? Yep, Now You Can Posted: 30 Apr 2015 03:51 PM PDT |
Warhammer 40.000: Eternal Crusade: Lead Level Designer Leaves Project Posted: 30 Apr 2015 01:47 PM PDT |
Shadowrun Chronicles: Boston Lockdown First Impressions Posted: 30 Apr 2015 02:27 AM PDT The question now is can Chronicles stand on its own two feet? Chronicles has faced a few challenges in its development. As most of you can probably guess $550k isn't enough money to make a full fledged MMORPG. This eventually forced Cliffhanger to switch gears and become the cross platform tactical RPG it is billed as today. Cliffhanger did issue an apology to backers and offered them a chance to opt out. |
War Thunder: Berlin, Hürtgen For & Normandy Maps Released for Victory Day Posted: 30 Apr 2015 12:29 PM PDT Gaijin has announced that the Victory Day celebration is underway in War Thunder. A trio of new maps, Normandy, Hürtgen Forest and Berlin, have been introduced into the game as well as the "weapons of victory" vehicles. In addition, Gaijin is celebrating War Thunder's nine million registered players. |

Pathfinder Online: Early Enrollment Review in Progress Posted: 29 Apr 2015 01:19 PM PDT We didn't think we'd be reviewing Pathfinder Online anytime soon... until we discovered the game is both a.) taking money and b.) done wiping progress. As mentioned many times here, that's all we need to consider a game ready to be reviewed. If a studio is confident enough in a product to do both of those things, then we're confident that it deserves a score and review. Read on for the beginning of our Pathfinder Online adventures. |
