Skyforge: Closed Beta #3 Slated for April 22nd Posted: 15 Apr 2015 08:04 AM PDT |
Guild Wars 2: Stronghold Open Beta Impressions Posted: 15 Apr 2015 04:22 AM PDT The announcement of the stronghold game type was really exciting, and it was a real treat to give it a try during the beta yesterday. Twitch was also busy with several great casters showing off this brand new SPvP play type, and rightfully so! Stronghold has turned out amazing, and may be my new favorite thing to play in Guild Wars 2. |
Elder Scrolls Online: So, Where Do We Go From Here? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 08:20 PM PDT Until The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited hits consoles in June, expect that the team's focus will be on fixes, picking up some pieces dropped in previous updates, and new ventures like crown store items (some new pets just arrived). For PC players, this lull had plenty of advance warning. It's still a good time to revisit some of the changes promised before and yet to come. |
DUST 514: Player Trading Feature to be Added Soon Posted: 15 Apr 2015 06:23 AM PDT The DUST 514 team has published a new developer blog that reveals the first details about the forthcoming Player Trading System to be implemented later this month. According to the blog, player trading will be a "trust-based system" with mercs able to send items and ISK back and forth among those on contact lists. |
Wurm Online: The Land Rush Begins Today on Elevation Server Posted: 15 Apr 2015 05:52 AM PDT |
WildStar: RUMOR: Ready for F2P? Boxes Taken From AU Store Shelves Posted: 15 Apr 2015 05:40 AM PDT In a near repetition of the Elder Scrolls Online phenomenon several months ago, Australian retailers have pulled boxed copies of WildStar from store shelves. According to Games.On.Net, both EB Games and JB Hi-Fi have removed all copies of the game, fueling rumors that Carbine Studios and NCSoft may be ready to announced a move to a free to play revenue model. |
World of Warships: Japanese Fleet Examined in New Video Diary Posted: 15 Apr 2015 05:31 AM PDT |

The event will take place on the official World of Warcraft Twitch.tv channel at 11:00 am Pacific / 2:00 pm Eastern. |
World of Warcraft: Revisit Old Dungeons in 6.2 with New Timewalking Feature Posted: 15 Apr 2015 03:38 AM PDT The Blizzard team has gone on record with a new World of Warcraft feature that is not yet on the PTR but will be soon and that will be included in the v6.2.0 update. Called "Timewalking", it will feature special three day weekend events that will allow players to revisit dungeons long since outgrown, but in a new iteration that will see players' gear scaled down to bring the challenge back. |
General: MapleStory 2 Trailer Paves Way for Final Korean CBT Posted: 15 Apr 2015 03:23 AM PDT |
Pathfinder Online: Help Determine the Future of Shrine Camping Posted: 13 Apr 2015 05:21 PM PDT Goblinworks' CEO Ryan Dancey has taken to the Pathfinder Online forum to ask players for assistance regarding the issue of shrine camping. In his brief post, Dancey indicates that there are legitimate reasons that shrine camping is acceptable, but realizes that it can also cause issues even in a PvP-centric game world. |
Skyforge: Friday's Live Stream to Feature the Necromancer Posted: 13 Apr 2015 05:16 PM PDT During this Friday's Twitch.tv broadcast, the Skyforge team will be taking the opportunity to show off the next playable class in the roster, the Necromancer. During the event, Community Manager Michael "Spunky" Dunaway and other members of the team will be taking on the Daren Facility as part of the Necro showcase to show off its power against the undead. |

Fantasy War Tactics is the first major entry into the US mobile gaming market, as well as in other international locations. The game features depth, cooperative game play, social elements and more. |

General: The AlterVerse: Part MMO, Part Creation Kit Posted: 14 Apr 2015 01:16 PM PDT |
General: Trapped Dead: Lockdown - Too Many Tired Tropes Posted: 14 Apr 2015 04:41 AM PDT It feels like everywhere you turn these days, there's another zombie themed something-or-another being shoved in your face. Personally, I blame The Walking Dead since it seems as if the entire pop culture theme arrived en masse when it debuted on AMC in 2010. In gaming, we've seen more than a few zombie-themed RPGs and pseudo-RPGs lately. Not to be left behind, MMOs have embraced the undead apocalypse too. Big studios and indies have taken to the new genre with wild abandon. |
Star Trek Online: Lisa LoCicero Reprising Series Role in Season 10 Posted: 14 Apr 2015 12:43 PM PDT |
Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft: iOS and Android Phone Versions Launched! Posted: 14 Apr 2015 12:31 PM PDT |
Crowfall: Harnessing the Power of the Fallen Warrior Posted: 14 Apr 2015 12:06 PM PDT |
General: Star Ocean 5 Announced Posted: 14 Apr 2015 11:49 AM PDT |
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel: The Handsome Collection Review Posted: 12 Apr 2015 05:53 PM PDT Borderlands is one of those games that's just begging for a full-on MMO treatment. I don't know if we'll ever get one, but hey at least China will. Essentially Diablo with guns, and showcasing enough character and class to deserve its own Telltale Games adventure series, Borderlands has been played and replayed by many of us here at MMORPG.com since the first game was released years ago. |
General: Izle: Steam Greenlight Success & Playable Demo Released Posted: 14 Apr 2015 09:50 AM PDT |
General: Three Ways to Recapture the MMO Magic Posted: 12 Apr 2015 05:37 PM PDT Last week I had a good time explaining my extreme dislike for esports. Granted, I do not dislike those who enjoy esports just like I do not dislike the guy up the street who worships - almost literally - at the church of football. But, the organization and big money that esports really is doesn't toot my horn. With enough money and push you could make professional nose picking a sport and people would probably dig it, so I just don't see the value. |
