General: The Best of E3 2014 Awards Posted: 16 Jun 2014 01:13 PM PDT It's that time again, folks - the time of year where E3 has come and gone and we meaninglessly list out our favorite games from the show. Okay, it's not entirely meaningless. E3 is one of the biggest events in gaming and it's a great place to get a first look and first hands-on with some of the year's best and brightest titles. So without further ado, here are MMORPG.com's Best of E3 2014 Awards. |

Dragon Age: Inquisition: E3 Preview: The Dragon Age Weve Waited For? Posted: 17 Jun 2014 06:59 AM PDT If we had an E3 Award for "Best Game for which we waited in line for 40 minutes even though we had VIP access but then were treated to a 30-minute demo that blew all other presentations out of the water," then Bioware and EA's Dragon Age: Inquisition would have cleaned house. The newest installment in the iconic Dragon Age series looks every bit the part as herald for a new era of single-player fantasy RPGs, and totally stole the show for me. |

Guild Wars 2: ArenaNet Takes a Look Back at Season 1 Posted: 15 Jun 2014 06:44 PM PDT As the kickoff for the second season of the Guild Wars 2 living story nears, ArenaNet has paused to take a look back at the momentous events that shaped and shook Season 1, including Scarlett Briar's destruction of Lion's Arch and subsequent defeat. Check out the retrospective video and let us know what you think in the comments. |

General: Earthlock: Festival of Magic Premiers a New Site Posted: 15 Jun 2014 06:50 PM PDT The latest Earthlock: Festival of Magic newsletter has been released. Among many other things, the team reveals that a new website is in place to give players more information about the game, forums on which to interact with the developers and a alternative place to continue the game's crowd funding efforts. |

Star Trek Online: Update 9.5 to Feature a Comprehensive Crafting Overhaul Posted: 16 Jun 2014 02:03 PM PDT A short developer diary has been posted on the Star Trek Online site that should be of keen interest to players in general and crafters more specifically. According to executive producer Stephen D'Angelo, every aspect of crafting has been given the once over and reworked. Players can expect to see the changes when v9.5 goes live on the Tribble test server in late July. |

Destiny: More Going On Here Than Meets the Eye Posted: 16 Jun 2014 01:52 AM PDT You have probably already heard about and formulated an opinion on Destiny already though - Activision is pouring half a billion dollars into its marketing budget after all - and you wouldn't be alone. Based on the footage and information available to me, it seemed like Destiny would be little more than a glorified Borderlands with a slap of Halo paint. While my initial assessment isn't erroneously far from the truth, there is a lot more going on here than meets the eye. |
