Sony Online Entertainment CEO John Smedley paid a visit to the PlanetSide 2 forums this week to update the community on what's in the works and what's being considered as the shooter continues its march through beta. Smedley touched on several of the topics in the works such as changes to gunplay, certifications, resources, improvements to game performance and the work progress on the continents of Esamir and Amerish. Smed does note that due to the time it's taking to work on the continents, PlanetSide 2 may launch with 2 with the third to follow post-launch. Time and testing will tell.

I have went on the forums to see that some players are saying that this patch has become a bust. As read, many of them do agree that the map was the highlight but everything else was not favourable.
